Superyacht Australia Unifies Asia-Pacific Promotion at Monaco 2026
Superyacht Australia joined regional partners at Monaco Yacht Show 2026 to market the Asia-Pacific as one connected cruising, refit and service region.
Hong Kong Tourism Board has used its first Monaco Yacht Show presence to promote the city’s yacht-tourism, marine-business and luxury-event ambitions in Asia.
Hong Kong Tourism Board has made its first Monaco Yacht Show appearance under a three-year strategic city partnership with Informa Markets. The delegation used the 23–26 September event to promote Hong Kong as a base for yacht tourism and marine business while introducing a wider international programme of luxury and lifestyle events.
Monaco was the first stop in a promotional roadshow created under the strategic partnership between Hong Kong and Informa Markets. The programme is intended to connect the city with audiences attending major yacht, luxury and lifestyle exhibitions in Europe and the United States.
Future activity identified by HKTB includes the Palm Beach International Boat Show, Top Marques Monaco and the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. The approach therefore links destination marketing with the places where yacht owners, operators, brands and marine businesses already gather.
HKTB attended Monaco alongside the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels, Airport Authority Hong Kong and AsiaWorld-Expo. The combined delegation presented tourism, aviation, events and trade capability rather than treating yachting as an isolated leisure product.
That broader framing matters for a yacht hub because marina capacity is only one part of the equation. International air links, business services, hospitality, events and access to regional markets all influence whether owners and marine companies use a city as a recurring operational base.
The Tourism Board says recent work to streamline yacht-entry procedures and continuing marina investment are creating additional opportunities for visiting yachts and marine businesses. It also points to Hong Kong’s natural harbour and international sailing calendar as assets in building a year-round marine proposition.
The announcement does not claim that every infrastructure constraint has been solved, and it does not provide a new berth-count total. Instead, the Monaco campaign presents the regulatory and infrastructure work as part of a continuing effort to strengthen Hong Kong’s competitiveness in Asian yacht tourism.
The next major component is the inaugural Festival of Connoisseurs, scheduled for 4–6 November 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo. Its programme extends beyond yachting into mobility, art, travel, wellness, gastronomy and other luxury sectors through a wider city-based event concept.
HKTB intends the festival to develop into a larger citywide platform from 2027. For the superyacht sector, the relevant point is the effort to connect yacht tourism with aviation, luxury commerce and destination events, rather than relying only on marina promotion to attract international traffic.
