Norvestor-backed Marina Group adds Dyvik Marina & Varv near the Furusund Channel as its seventh Stockholm-region facility, expanding marine service and storage.
Norvestor-backed Marina Group has added Dyvik Marina & Varv to its network, taking the group's Stockholm-area presence to seven locations. The development, announced on 9 October 2026, adds a sheltered marine-service operation near the Furusund Channel to a portfolio of marinas serving boat owners and professional maintenance customers around the Swedish capital.
Dyvik's addition is a corporate network and service expansion rather than a new marina opening or an announcement of a newly built superyacht. The facility has operated for more than 30 years and is based in Dyviken, an inlet approximately 800 metres long and 150 metres wide. Its established workshops and seasonal storage services form an important part of the proposition.
Dyvik Marina & Varv accommodates approximately 350 boats during the summer season and has indoor and outdoor winter-storage capacity for more than 400 craft. The location also offers a guest harbour, fuel, a marine retail operation, parking near the pontoons and a summer café. These services connect ordinary recreational berthing with the infrastructure owners need throughout the year.
The marina's reported boat-handling equipment includes nine lifts intended for boats weighing up to approximately 1.2 tonnes and measuring about seven metres. That specification should not be confused with a 50- or 100-tonne travel hoist for a larger yacht. Captains and yacht managers must confirm the actual berth dimensions, approach depth and equipment limits before considering the facility for a particular vessel.
The on-site workshop provides engine maintenance, replacement and repairs, installations and modification work, as well as repairs to fibreglass and aluminium structures. Insurance work is also identified within the service offering. Those facilities can be useful for tender owners, contractors and suppliers even when a parent superyacht does not fit into the marina's own operational envelope.
Marine service companies often depend on repeatable year-round workloads. Summer visitor activity alone rarely covers the staffing, lifting equipment and specialist workshop costs required for reliable technical support. Combining berthing, winter storage and repairs can make those services more accessible to the smaller vessels forming part of the broader cruising economy.
Growth through existing marinas allows an operator to bring together booking procedures, operational standards and procurement while retaining the local knowledge of individual waterfront teams. It can also create complications if local customers lose familiar service arrangements or if prices and conditions change. The available announcement does not set out new berth tariffs or an immediate alteration of existing contracts.
For boat owners, the practical test will be whether the network expansion results in dependable maintenance, clearer access to services and continuity during winter lay-up. Operators should also maintain the site's safety procedures, lifting inspections and environmental arrangements rather than assuming that larger corporate ownership automatically guarantees those outcomes.
The Furusund Channel area links boating facilities with cruising routes through Sweden's extensive archipelago. Sheltered inlets, workyards and fuel services are integral to the support network for local and visiting craft, particularly outside the busiest holiday weeks when technical assistance can be harder to arrange.
