Miami Prestige Interiors is expanding its OEM marine business with a new shade-system line, custom helm seating and a larger Florida production facility.
Miami Prestige Interiors is expanding beyond upholstery and interior fabrication with a new marine shade line aimed at OEM boatbuilders and refit projects. The company is presenting the product at IBEX 2026, where the system has also been entered in the show’s Innovation Awards programme.
The move adds another category to a business already producing custom helm seating, upholstery, precision quilting and interior accessories. Bringing shade systems into the same supply relationship can reduce the number of specialist vendors a builder needs to coordinate during production.
The Florida company is placing more emphasis on direct relationships with boat manufacturers rather than working only through individual custom projects. That shift requires repeatable production quality, tighter delivery schedules and engineering coordination earlier in the design process.
For yacht builders, a supplier that can handle multiple soft-goods and interior categories can simplify specification and after-sales support. Miami Prestige says its expanded programme is intended to serve both serial builders and higher-end custom projects that need bespoke finishes.
Miami Prestige is preparing to open a larger facility in Opa-locka, Florida during October 2026. The additional space is intended to support higher production volume as the company expands its OEM work and introduces new product categories.
Founded in 1971, the company has built its reputation around marine interiors and upholstery in South Florida. The new facility and shade-system launch signal a more structured move into the boatbuilding supply chain while retaining the custom craftsmanship associated with its existing yacht work.
