Royal Huisman is highlighting a twin-track motoryacht strategy built around full-custom new construction and major Huisfit rebuild and conversion projects.
Royal Huisman is placing greater emphasis on its ability to build and transform motoryachts as well as sailing yachts. The yard argues that the engineering disciplines behind lightweight custom sailing yachts transfer directly into demanding motor-yacht programmes.
That includes precise weight management, compact technical integration and long-range reliability. The same approach is being offered either through a completely new build or through Huisfit when an owner wants to transform an existing yacht rather than replace it.
Royal Huisman says a fully custom motoryacht can begin without being constrained by an existing production platform. Naval architects and designers can therefore develop the arrangement around an owner’s operating priorities instead of adapting those priorities to a predetermined hull.
Projects such as PHI and Special One are used by the yard as examples of technically unusual briefs. Both required highly specific packaging and engineering solutions that benefited from the shipyard’s experience with one-off aluminium sailing yachts.
For yachts already in service, Huisfit can address technical upgrades, interior transformation, conversions and large-scale rebuilds. The intention is to give owners a route to a substantially different vessel while retaining an existing hull and yacht identity.
The combined message positions Royal Huisman and Huisfit as two sides of the same custom strategy. Owners can either create a new yacht from a blank sheet or extend the life and capability of a vessel that is already proven at sea.
