Sanlorenzo Opens Cannes 2026 With Three World Premieres

Sanlorenzo has opened the European autumn boat-show season at the Cannes Yachting Festival with a ten-yacht display led by three world premieres: the SL110A, SX120 and SD132. The Italian builder is using Cannes to present three distinct interpretations of contemporary yacht design, spanning planing, crossover and semi-displacement platforms while linking the launches to its longer-term Road to 2030 strategy.

The three premieres place new products at the centre of Sanlorenzo's Cannes presence, but the company is also using its annual press conference to frame them within a broader programme of product development, lower-impact propulsion technologies and sustainable growth. Taken together, the lineup shows how Sanlorenzo is pursuing more usable onboard space, stronger connections with the sea and greater propulsion efficiency through different technical routes rather than a single design formula.

SL110A develops Sanlorenzo's asymmetric approach

At 33.5 metres overall with a 7.33-metre beam, the SL110A advances the asymmetric architecture that has become one of Sanlorenzo's most recognisable design themes. Exterior design is by Zuccon International Project and interiors are by Lissoni & Partners, with the arrangement intended to increase usable interior width, natural light and direct access to exterior areas without simply increasing the yacht's overall dimensions.

Sanlorenzo lists accommodation for 10 guests and five crew, with twin MTU 16V2000 engine options and a published maximum speed of 26 or 27 knots depending on specification. The model combines the proportions and performance expected from the SL line with a layout that opens more of the accommodation towards the water, including a forward area associated with the owner's suite and pool.

SX120 becomes the crossover-range flagship

The 36.58-metre SX120 takes a different route, becoming the largest yacht in Sanlorenzo's SX crossover family. With an eight-metre beam, approximately 270 GT of volume and accommodation for 10 guests with six crew, the yacht blends features associated with a flybridge motor yacht and an explorer-inspired platform while retaining the open, informal character that defines the SX range.

Its most prominent exterior feature is a beach area of up to 70 square metres with a retractable pool, complemented by panoramic views from the upper deck. Sanlorenzo says the model is the world's first superyacht to use Volvo Penta's IPS Professional Platform, with four D13-IPS 2700 units and a published maximum speed of 24 knots, making propulsion technology an important part of the model's Cannes debut rather than a secondary specification detail.

SD132 brings 420 GT to the semi-displacement range

At 40.7 metres, the SD132 is the largest of the three Cannes premieres and the flagship of Sanlorenzo's semi-displacement line. The composite-built yacht has an 8.47-metre beam and approximately 420 GT of volume, with Zuccon International Project responsible for the exterior design and Sanlorenzo applying its asymmetric concept across two decks.

The SD132's arrangement centres on scale and waterfront living, including a reconfigurable beach area of around 70 square metres with opening terraces and extensive glazing intended to strengthen the connection between interior and exterior spaces. Accommodation is listed for 10 guests and eight crew, while twin MAN V12 engines of 1,650 hp each provide a published maximum speed of 17 knots.

Three premieres show three routes to more usable space

Presenting the SL110A, SX120 and SD132 together gives the Cannes programme more significance than three isolated model launches. The SL110A uses asymmetry within a faster planing platform, the SX120 combines crossover architecture with a new IPS propulsion installation, and the SD132 uses substantially greater volume and semi-displacement proportions to create large interior and exterior living areas.

The common theme is not identical styling but the way each model seeks to turn overall dimensions into usable guest space. Sanlorenzo's current product direction places particular emphasis on openness, panoramic glazing, terraces and beach areas, while the SX120 adds a propulsion system that directly supports the company's stated focus on efficiency and lower-impact technology.

Cannes anchors the launches within Sanlorenzo's Road to 2030

Sanlorenzo's annual Cannes press conference also provided a strategic update, with the builder reaffirming its Road to 2030 programme and its focus on sustainable growth, low-impact propulsion technologies and continued product innovation. That broader context is relevant because the three premieres occupy different parts of the range yet are being presented as elements of the same long-term development programme.

With ten yachts on display, Sanlorenzo has one of the most extensive single-brand presences at the 2026 festival.
