Riva Reorganises Italian Dealer Network Between Casarola and Italian Yacht Store
Riva has redrawn its exclusive Italian dealer territories, splitting regional responsibility between long-standing partner Nautica Casarola and Italian Yacht Store.
Joe Hill has joined Sanlorenzo Yachts UK as Senior Sales Broker and Brokerage Director, with the appointment taking effect on 1 October.
Sanlorenzo Yachts UK has appointed Joe Hill as Senior Sales Broker and Brokerage Director as it expands its new-yacht and brokerage activity in the British market. Hill takes up the position on 1 October 2026 and will work primarily from the company’s Park Lane showroom in Mayfair, London.
Hill brings almost 30 years of marine-industry experience to the role, including the last eleven years with a British motor-yacht manufacturer. His background covers luxury-yacht sales, brokerage and new-build work, with particular experience in the larger-yacht segment.
Before moving into commercial roles, Hill worked aboard yachts and spent several years as a professional captain. Sanlorenzo Yachts UK says that operational experience is relevant to advising clients because larger-yacht purchases involve technical, crewing and ownership considerations as well as the sales transaction itself.
The new position combines senior sales responsibilities with leadership of the brokerage function. Hill will represent both the Sanlorenzo and Bluegame ranges while also helping the business develop its brokerage presence in the 100-foot-plus sector.
His work is expected to cover the ownership journey from early model selection through the design and build process and into brokerage activity. That makes the appointment wider than a conventional listing role and links new-build clients with the company’s growing second-hand market activity.
Sanlorenzo Yachts UK is part of the Ancasta Group and represents Sanlorenzo yachts and superyachts in the UK and Ireland alongside the Bluegame brand. The business operates from London and Southampton, giving it access to both client-facing city activity and the south-coast marine sector.
Managing director Nick Hatfield has linked the appointment to the company’s objective of increasing Sanlorenzo’s UK market share. The emphasis is particularly on owners considering larger yachts, where product knowledge and an understanding of the practicalities of ownership become more important.
Hill officially begins the new job on 1 October, making the personnel change current rather than a future recruitment plan. His primary base will be the Park Lane showroom, although the role is intended to support clients across the company’s wider UK and Ireland territory.
Superyacht Guide is reporting the appointment from Sanlorenzo Yachts UK’s own announcement rather than inferring a change from directory or social-media information. No broader management restructuring was announced, and the company continues to be led in the UK by its existing management team.
