TISG Receives Five Binding Bids; Sanlorenzo Targets La Spezia
TISG confirms five binding asset-sale proposals in its restructuring. Sanlorenzo has separately identified its offer for the La Spezia shipyard alone.
Seaquip has added Volvo Penta, Coelmo, Sleipner and Dometic to its 2027 Milan show, joined by Italian Yacht Masters and Super Captains Team.
The organisers of Seaquip – Mediterranean Yacht and Marine Equipment Trade Fair have confirmed four further component and equipment businesses for the exhibition scheduled in Milan from 2 to 4 March 2027. Volvo Penta, Coelmo, Sleipner and Dometic are among the additions announced in an official 15 October statement and discussed again by industry media on 19 October. The development widens the supplier mix for a trade event aimed at companies serving yachts and the larger marine industry.
The announcement is about confirmed participation, not the launch of a specific new propulsion system, generator or stabiliser. Product details and technical demonstrations for the 2027 event have not all been published. For builders, refit facilities and purchasing managers supporting yachts above 24 metres, the value of the addition is the opportunity to meet several equipment suppliers and discuss technology choices in one professional venue.
Volvo Penta is known for marine propulsion and associated control systems, making it relevant to engineering discussions on a range of recreational and commercial craft. Its participation could provide a forum for fleet managers and shipyards to understand support arrangements, equipment integration and design considerations. The Seaquip announcement names the business as an exhibitor but does not identify a new product or promise that every propulsion technology in its catalogue will be displayed.
Superyacht propulsion installations are highly project-specific. Equipment designed for a smaller craft does not automatically suit a 50-metre vessel, and manufacturers' technical representatives need to assess shaftlines, loads, cooling, electrical supply and service support. Owners should treat supplier presence at the trade fair as a way to begin informed conversations rather than evidence that a particular propulsion solution has already been selected or certified for their yacht.
Coelmo, an Italian engine and generator specialist, is also among the newly named participants. Electrical reliability is critical aboard larger yachts because hotel systems, refrigeration, communications, lighting and safety equipment depend on power even when the main engines are not operating. Generator selection requires attention to varying electrical loads, duty cycles, sound levels, redundancy and long-term maintenance access.
The announcement does not specify which Coelmo models will appear in Milan or indicate that the company has secured new superyacht supply contracts. Engineering departments assessing future upgrades can nevertheless benefit from direct discussion with a manufacturer about servicing, load profiles and integration with shore-power or battery systems. A live equipment demonstration can answer some questions but it cannot substitute for a full electrical design or class review.
Sleipner is an established marine equipment business associated with manoeuvring, propulsion-related handling and stabilisation products. Those topics are particularly important for owners who want predictable harbour handling and comfort both underway and at anchor. Seaquip's expanded exhibitor list places the company alongside other suppliers whose products may form part of wider design and refit decisions.
Actual performance depends on the vessel and installation. A stabiliser suitable for one hull may not achieve the same effect on another, and a thruster installation involves significant structural and electrical considerations. Prospective customers should discuss vessel displacement, operating conditions, service access and the capabilities of local technicians. The organiser has not yet announced a specific Sleipner technical session or a new product premiere.
Dometic joins the line-up as a group with products relevant to onboard comfort and supporting systems. For yachts operating over long periods, climate control, refrigeration and related equipment can influence guest experience as much as visible interior finishes. Integration with the wider energy-management system matters because air-conditioning and refrigeration loads can be substantial even while a vessel lies quietly at anchor.
The new exhibitor confirmation says nothing definitive about individual Dometic launches at Seaquip. Purchasers seeking technical specifications should consult manufacturer documentation and discuss installation requirements with the yacht’s designer or service providers. Replacement decisions must take account of space, power consumption, cooling-water arrangements and ongoing maintenance. The trade fair can help compare possibilities but does not itself establish their suitability for a particular installation.
Seaquip says Italian Yacht Masters and Super Captains Team are also expected at the March event with their members. Their involvement gives a practical operational dimension to a supplier-focused exhibition. Captains and senior crew can describe how products perform in daily service, what failures are most disruptive and where design compromises become costly over time. Such feedback may help manufacturers understand the real priorities of vessels already in operation.
The announced objective is dialogue between onboard professionals and research and development teams, not a formal accreditation programme. Participants may raise questions about safety, maintenance scheduling, user interfaces and the availability of spare parts. There is no evidence that the associations endorse every exhibiting supplier or that their attendance amounts to approval of particular equipment. Direct discussions should be treated as professional input rather than product certification.
Seaquip's second edition is scheduled for Fiera Milano Rho, with the event organised by Easyfairs Italia. The show is designed as a business-to-business platform for marine components and accessories rather than a conventional waterfront exhibition dominated by completed yachts. The organiser has previously reported a 52 per cent increase in confirmed exhibitors compared with the corresponding preparation stage ahead of the 2026 debut.
That growth measure describes the organiser's comparison at an earlier point in the registration cycle, not a final attendance total for the future show. It does, however, give context to the addition of four manufacturers and two professional associations. The programme of conferences and workshops is still developing, so buyers should check final timetables rather than assume the presence of a technical talk or a specific visiting representative.
For yacht builders and refit organisations, the confirmed exhibitor list offers a chance to plan supplier meetings around topics such as propulsion, auxiliary generation, comfort systems, handling and maintenance. Preparing equipment specifications and recent service records in advance makes those conversations more valuable. The presence of working captains may also help ensure that reliability and usability receive attention alongside headline performance and sales presentations.
Seaquip states that visitor registration is open for the event running from 2 to 4 March 2027. Further conference information is expected from the organisers before the halls open. No precise new-product launch, commercial order or technical performance claim is established by the October exhibitor announcement. The reportable development is the widening supplier and professional participation in a Milan-based marine equipment forum relevant to the superyacht supply chain.
