Sunseeker has released the first images of its new 45-metre Superyacht, marking a fresh large-yacht platform with a signed letter of intent from an existing client.

Sunseeker has released the first images of its new 45-metre Superyacht, the first completely new large-yacht design from the British builder since the return of the 134. The semi-displacement platform is planned at around 440 GT and has already secured a letter of intent from a longstanding Sunseeker client.

A new platform above the established Sunseeker range

The 45M is being developed as a clean-sheet superyacht rather than an enlarged derivative of a smaller model. Sunseeker says the design combines the brand’s performance heritage with substantially greater internal volume, giving owners a platform that can support longer cruising and more formal separation between guest, crew and technical spaces.

The yacht is expected to measure around 45 metres overall with approximately 440 gross tonnes of volume. A semi-displacement hull is intended to balance efficiency and passage speed, while the architecture leaves room for the larger machinery, storage and service areas required for extended operation.

Ocean Lounge reshapes the aft guest area

A central feature is the aft Ocean Lounge, which is designed to transform from an enclosed or protected social area into a more open connection with the water. The concept continues Sunseeker’s recent emphasis on lowering the visual and physical barrier between main-deck living spaces and the sea.

A transverse tender garage keeps the tender and two personal watercraft away from the main guest spaces. That arrangement frees the stern for leisure use while still allowing the yacht to carry the equipment expected from an owner planning longer periods at anchor.

Sky Lounge adds an enclosed upper-deck retreat

The upper deck includes a fully enclosed Sky Lounge rather than relying only on open-air flybridge seating. This gives guests another climate-controlled social space with elevated views, and it also increases the yacht’s usable interior volume in hot, cold or windy conditions.

The accommodation plan provides five guest staterooms as standard, with an option for a sixth cabin depending on owner requirements. Sunseeker also plans dedicated accommodation for up to nine crew, supporting a professional operating model appropriate to a yacht of this size.

First client commitment moves the project beyond concept stage

Sunseeker says a longstanding client has already signed a letter of intent for the new 45M, giving the programme an early commercial foundation. The builder is using the first-image release to move the yacht from an internal development programme into a more visible market phase.

Superyacht Guide is treating the announcement as a new-model development rather than a launch or completed sale. Detailed construction milestones, final specifications and delivery timing will require separate confirmation as the first hull progresses from design into build.
