Yacht Havens has announced that Rupert Wagstaff will move into a group operations role from early 2027. The appointment brings long service within the company into a position overseeing operational priorities across its network.
Marina groups need consistency in everyday delivery as well as investment in individual facilities. The announcement concerns management structure rather than a change of ownership or an immediate new berth.
The company highlights Wagstaff’s involvement with locations such as Lymington and Yacht Haven Quay Plymouth. His work has included projects related to marina services and dry-stack operations.
That mix of customer-facing work and facility development is relevant to yacht owners who use a network of ports. It does not mean that every site offers identical services or dimensions.
An operations director coordinates standards, teams and practical delivery across more than one location. Investment programmes, lifting arrangements and the businesses operating in the marina all influence owner experience.
Superyacht support crews may use a group’s facilities in different ways, including for tenders and maintenance. Specific berthing and haul-out capabilities must still be confirmed locally.
The appointment is scheduled for the next phase of the company’s operations and should be assessed by changes actually introduced after it takes effect. It does not alone establish a new service or tariff for berth holders.
