Royal Yacht International has added the 26.7-metre Sanlorenzo SX88 AIDA to its sales fleet with an asking price of $5 million. The 2019 yacht is being marketed as a contemporary, shallow-draft crossover model and is available for viewings in Antibes.

The listing brings another example of Sanlorenzo’s SX88 onto the brokerage market at a price point that puts her against both newer production yachts and older custom vessels around the same length. RYI’s live inventory confirms the $5 million asking price and records a 26.7-metre length, 6.71-metre beam, 1.83-metre draft and 149 GT.

AIDA joins the market at $5 million

Royal Yacht International describes AIDA as new to its sales fleet with a motivated seller. The broker highlights four guest cabins for up to 10 guests, an open-plan main deck, an innovative flybridge and a beach-club area with water-toy storage, presenting the yacht around versatility rather than a single-purpose cruising layout.

AIDA was built in 2019 and uses GRP construction. The shallow 1.83-metre draft is one of the more practical aspects of the SX88 platform, particularly for owners interested in coastal cruising and anchorages where deeper conventional yachts of similar length may face greater restrictions.

The broker also lists CMC electric fin stabilisers, adding comfort at anchor and underway. Combined with joystick-controlled triple Volvo IPS propulsion, that equipment package reflects the SX range’s emphasis on manoeuvrability and owner-friendly operation in marinas and coastal cruising grounds.

Lissoni interior and an open-plan main deck

RYI credits Lissoni Associati with AIDA’s bespoke interior, describing an open-plan “floating loft” concept on the main deck. Near floor-to-ceiling glazing brings natural light into the saloon and dining areas, while a floating staircase is used to separate spaces without introducing the heavier partitions common on more traditional yacht layouts.

The accommodation is arranged for up to 10 guests across four cabins, including a full-beam master suite, a VIP cabin and two guest cabins with convertible arrangements. The brokerage material also notes refreshed carpeting in the master and VIP spaces together with upgraded crew accommodation for four.

Sanlorenzo’s own current SX88 specification gives the model an overall length of 26.7 metres and lists triple Volvo IPS3 1050 installations as the standard propulsion reference for one configuration. The builder’s published model information also places strong emphasis on architectural interiors, balanced proportions and the connection between interior living space and exterior deck areas.

The SX88 crossover formula

The SX88 was developed around a less conventional relationship between superstructure and stern. Instead of treating the aft deck simply as a cockpit, the model uses a larger open area connected to water access and toy storage, giving the stern a role closer to the beach-club concepts seen on larger yachts.

That approach has helped the SX series become one of Sanlorenzo’s recognisable product families because it mixes elements of flybridge, explorer and conventional motor-yacht design. For AIDA, the result is a yacht that can carry substantial leisure equipment while maintaining guest accommodation and interior comfort within a sub-27-metre platform.

The triple IPS arrangement also supports that crossover identity. Pod propulsion reduces the need for long conventional shaft lines and can improve low-speed handling, while joystick control is particularly useful in the tight marina environments where a yacht of this size is likely to spend significant time.

Sanlorenzo’s current SX88 model page lists a 23-knot maximum speed for its reference configuration and specifies triple Volvo IPS3 1050 units. AIDA’s brokerage material confirms the triple-IPS concept and joystick control, although buyers should rely on the yacht’s own survey and machinery records for the exact installed specification and performance of this 2019 example.

The builder’s reference data also shows why the SX88 became a distinctive proposition within the sub-30-metre market. The model combines a relatively broad platform with a low-profile superstructure and a stern arrangement intended to function as a waterside leisure area, creating a stronger connection between the main deck, exterior space and sea than on many conventional flybridge yachts.

For owners who cruise with family or guests, the convertible twin cabins provide flexibility beyond the headline four-cabin count. The upgraded crew accommodation is equally relevant because service quality aboard a 26.7-metre yacht can depend heavily on whether the crew have practical living and working spaces during longer periods of use.

AIDA’s 149 GT also gives useful context to the layout. The yacht is not trying to maximise enclosed volume at the expense of exterior living; instead, the SX88 concept distributes space between open deck areas, a beach-club-style stern and a more architectural interior, which helps explain why the model attracts buyers crossing over from both conventional motor yachts and larger day boats.

The listing also arrives at a point when recent SX88 examples are competing not only on age but on customisation and equipment. AIDA’s sales case therefore depends on how her specific interior, stabilisation package, crew arrangements and maintenance history compare with other SX88s already available, rather than on the model name alone.

That is especially relevant for buyers comparing several examples of the same successful series, where condition and specification often drive the final decision. It also makes a detailed inspection of service history, options and recent maintenance more important than relying on model reputation alone.

Antibes viewing opportunity ahead of the autumn market

RYI says AIDA is available for viewings in Antibes, placing the yacht close to one of the Mediterranean’s most active brokerage and service centres. The timing is useful for buyers already travelling through the South of France during the September show cycle, even though AIDA herself is being marketed through private viewing rather than as a headline show exhibit.

At $5 million, the yacht enters a highly competitive section of the brokerage market where condition, equipment and layout can matter as much as age. AIDA’s case rests on the Sanlorenzo brand, shallow-draft capability, four-cabin arrangement, upgraded crew spaces and the distinctive SX88 beach-club concept.

Royal Yacht International has not announced any previous asking price for AIDA in this campaign, so this is a new central-agency listing rather than a reduction story. The $5 million figure is confirmed on both the broker’s announcement and live inventory page, giving buyers a clear starting point for the yacht’s current sales campaign.
