IBEX 2026 Expands Propulsion, Electronics and Technology Pavilions
IBEX 2026 is grouping propulsion, electronics, composites, standards and emerging marine technology into specialist pavilions in Tampa.
The second Maiora 36 Exuma is appearing at Genoa with a 1.45-metre draft, 33-knot maximum speed and triple MAN V12 propulsion.
Maiora is bringing the second 36 Exuma to the 2026 Genoa International Boat Show, putting the 36.9-metre yacht’s unusually shallow 1.45-metre draft at the centre of its current presentation. Delivered to its owner earlier this summer, the yacht combines triple MAN V12 power with MJP waterjets and a published maximum speed of 33 knots.
Next Yacht Group gives the Maiora 36 Exuma an overall length of 36.90 metres and a draft of only 1.45 metres. That figure is unusually modest for a yacht in this size bracket and is intended to open up anchorages, bays and harbour approaches that deeper-draft yachts may have to avoid.
The second unit was launched in June and delivered to its owner during the summer before appearing at Cannes and now Genoa. The show appearance is therefore not a launch announcement, but a chance to inspect a recently delivered yacht whose operating brief places access and flexibility alongside interior volume.
Propulsion comes from three MAN V12 engines rated at 2,000 horsepower each, connected to two steerable MJP waterjets and a central MJP booster. Next Yacht Group publishes a maximum speed of 33 knots, giving the yacht a performance profile that is considerably faster than many displacement yachts of comparable length.
Waterjet propulsion also supports the shallow-draft brief because the system avoids conventional propellers and shafts projecting below the hull. Gyroscopic stabilizers are specified to operate both at anchor and underway, adding a separate layer of comfort when the yacht is moving quickly or remaining exposed in an anchorage.
The 36 Exuma was developed by Maiora in collaboration with Quartostile, with the design intended to create a more direct relationship between guests and the water. Large exterior areas and the yacht’s low-draft operating envelope are both part of that idea, rather than being treated as unrelated technical features.
The model’s emphasis on outdoor living is paired with the performance expected from Maiora’s faster yacht range. The result is a platform designed to move quickly between destinations and then approach shallower cruising grounds that can be inaccessible to some yachts with similar overall length and guest capacity.
The second 36 Exuma has already had an active year, moving from launch and delivery into the Mediterranean boat-show circuit. Its Genoa appearance follows Cannes and gives the Italian market another opportunity to see the latest unit before the 2026 season moves into its final major autumn events.
Superyacht Guide is reporting the Genoa appearance as an operating and product update rather than presenting earlier launch or delivery milestones as new. Length, draft, propulsion and speed figures are taken from Next Yacht Group’s own published material, while the current Genoa display is separately identified as the latest event development.
