Chapman Yachting is relaunching the 39m Oceanfast EVOLUTION with a new Sydney Harbour event and Australian coastal charter programme for summer 2026/27.
Chapman Yachting is presenting a refreshed charter programme for EVOLUTION, a 39-metre Oceanfast superyacht based in Sydney. The operator's new campaign links yacht time with food, beverage and shore experiences across Australia's east coast. A feature published on 20 October draws attention to the yacht's revised presentation as the Australian summer approaches. This is a renewed charter offering, not the delivery of a new vessel.
The campaign centres on a yacht capable of hosting up to seventy people for Sydney Harbour events while providing separate overnight accommodation for eight guests. Chapman says the new approach allows customers to plan tailored private celebrations, corporate occasions or longer coastal journeys. Rates, availability and the precise services included need to be confirmed for each proposed charter.
EVOLUTION was built by Oceanfast in 2008 and has been refitted during her operating life, including work identified by the operator in 2023. Chapman describes her as a 128-foot superyacht with a substantial single-level flybridge and extensive entertaining areas. The refreshed campaign emphasises the way these existing spaces have been fitted into a new hospitality programme.
The build history matters because a redesigned brand and updated services do not change the yacht's age or make her a new build. Her equipment, class and maintenance records would still govern her technical suitability for a particular voyage. Customers planning extended journeys should ask the operator what is available on their chosen dates and whether any changes have been made to the published configuration.
The charter operator advertises capacity for up to seventy guests at Sydney Harbour functions, using several social zones including aft decks, open-air bars, lounges and interior entertaining spaces. Such an arrangement lends itself to corporate hospitality, milestone celebrations and events where participants want the harbour itself to form part of the programme.
The advertised capacity applies to events, not overnight accommodation. Customers should also establish how guest numbers affect catering, staff, wharf access and the number of hours booked. Boarding arrangements can be a significant part of planning a large function because transfers and safety briefings take time. A written charter quote is more useful than simply multiplying the advertised hourly rate by the planned duration.
EVOLUTION is arranged to sleep eight overnight guests across four ensuite cabins, including a master suite, two VIP cabins and a double. That permits a more intimate programme than the yacht's large daytime event capacity might suggest. Chapman lists overnight and multi-night journeys to places including Pittwater, the Hawkesbury, the Whitsundays and Port Douglas, subject to the boat's position and availability.
The distinction between day hosting and sleeping capacity is central when comparing charter packages. Groups travelling north along Australia's coast must allow for weather, voyage time and relocation costs. An overnight proposal may also involve an advance provisioning allowance to cover food, beverages and other operating expenses, so a quoted nightly amount should not be understood as the complete cost of a holiday.
Chapman's 2026 campaign names Nobu Sydney, Gelato Messina, Moët Hennessy, Papa Salt Coastal Gin, Sydney Seaplanes and Broken Bay Pearl Farm among the experiences and brands incorporated into its offering. These arrangements connect yacht hospitality with dining, aviation and coastal attractions. The idea is to build an itinerary around the guests' interests rather than require everyone to choose from a single standard menu.
A list of partners is not a guarantee that every service will be available on every charter date. Private events may require external catering personnel, wharf reservations, seaplane arrangements and separate charges. The operator should specify which collaborations are optional, how they are booked and which providers are responsible for the service. Weather also affects aviation and excursions away from the yacht.
Chapman credits Henderson & Co with the updated interior treatment, describing a contemporary residential atmosphere rather than a conventional yacht décor scheme. Saloon lounges, bars and modular seating allow different formats for guest gatherings. On deck, the broad flybridge and foredeck seating give groups open-air spaces alongside more sheltered areas in the vessel.
Interior design is only one part of a successful large charter event. People need to move safely between decks, have access to facilities and remain comfortable in different conditions. The operator's crew has to reconcile dining and service with navigation and deck operations, particularly around popular harbour channels. Prospective guests should clarify which areas will be open and how the yacht will be arranged for their specific event.
Chapman's dedicated EVOLUTION campaign lists Sydney peak-season rates from A$3,700 per hour, including GST, for groups of up to forty guests. For parties of forty-one to seventy, the published peak rate is A$4,000 per hour. The off-peak rate is advertised from A$3,600 per hour, with a four-hour minimum. The company notes that special events and public holidays may attract different pricing.
These figures include the yacht, marine crew and fuel for the stated day-charter format, but catering, beverages, waitstaff, chefs and wharf fees are additional. Overnight voyages are promoted from A$27,000 per night, with separate provisioning and potential relocation charges. Because charter terms can change, customers should request an itemised quote showing the full party size, dates, activities and applicable taxes before treating any rate as final.
The renewed EVOLUTION campaign illustrates how an established superyacht can be repositioned around experiences rather than simply advertised by length and cabin count. Her scale supports large Sydney events, while a much smaller group can use the same yacht for private overnight travel. Chapman also says the vessel is offered for sale, which is distinct from the charter schedule and does not establish that a sale has taken place.
The main October development is the detailed new hospitality programme and the operator's presentation of summer 2026/27 opportunities. Clients weighing an event or voyage should compare actual availability, access and total pricing with their plans. For the Australian yacht industry, the offering is an example of using an existing superyacht as a flexible platform for tailored on-water experiences.
