Smart Yachts takes central agency for 44.8m Sterling ALL STAR 1, a Jon Bannenberg-designed motor yacht with a 2016 systems refit and a deck-to-deck elevator.
Smart Yachts is presenting ALL STAR 1, a 44.8-metre Sterling Yachts motor yacht, under its central sales agency. The exterior design is credited to Jon Bannenberg, while the broker highlights the yacht's substantial accommodation, engineering work and extended-cruising capabilities. No verified transaction price has been provided in the announcement.
The yacht represents a different purchase proposition from a newly completed 45-metre vessel. Its history includes a major programme of technical upgrades, making the quality and documentation of that work central to a buyer's assessment. An attractive interior alone cannot show whether older components have been maintained or replaced.
According to the broker, a major refit completed in 2016 included replacement main engines and gearboxes, new generators, HVAC equipment, galley updates and zero-speed stabilizers. More than four hundred individual changes are said to have formed part of the work, suggesting a wide-ranging intervention rather than a purely decorative refresh.
That programme took place a decade ago, so its age is material. Buyers should assess the current condition and operating hours of the replacement equipment rather than treating the date of installation as evidence of present reliability. Machinery logs, maintenance records and class documentation will be more useful than a simple summary of what was replaced.
The yacht's triple-height main-deck atrium includes a spiral staircase and is complemented by an elevator extending between guest levels and the sundeck. This can help connect spaces that would otherwise be separated by several flights of stairs, although it does not guarantee step-free movement through every area or safe accessibility under all circumstances.
Five guest cabins are arranged with a full-beam owner's suite forward on the main deck and four additional cabins below. Two of the lower accommodation spaces can reportedly be combined into a larger VIP suite. Those flexible arrangements may suit owners with different groups of friends or family, subject to the approved passenger layout.
Smart Yachts quotes an approximate 3,750-nautical-mile range. The upper deck provides lounges and open-air dining, while a gym on the sundeck includes its own facilities. A hydraulic stern door opens towards a beach-club arrangement, giving guests direct access to the waterfront.
These features offer substantial scope for longer cruises, but range, comfort and maintenance requirements must be assessed together. The listing confirms central agency status and published specifications, not an independently tested endurance figure or a completed sale.
