Edmiston offers the 2016-built 45m Benetti DOMANI for €20m following refit and class survey work, highlighting six cabins and a full-beam principal suite.
Edmiston is marketing the 45-metre Benetti DOMANI at an asking price of €20 million, excluding VAT. The steel-hulled yacht was delivered in 2016 and is now being presented following a programme of refurbishment and class-related work. The broker names Antonio de Yturbe Redo and Hannah Wolstenholme as the contacts for the sale. This is an asking-price announcement, not evidence of a completed transaction.
DOMANI belongs to the substantial under-500GT market, where owners seek much of the functionality of a larger custom yacht without the displacement and crew commitments of a considerably bigger vessel. Edmiston's current particulars quote 492GT, an overall length of 45 metres, a 9.1-metre beam and a draft of 2.4 metres. Gross tonnage measures internal volume rather than weight, and the figure should be distinguished from the yacht's actual displacement.
The brokerage describes accommodation for twelve guests plus two additional berths across six cabins. The principal suite occupies the full beam and has access to a private side balcony, separating it from the communal guest areas. Galeazzi Architetti is credited with the interior, where darker timber, soft grey upholstery, polished steel and pale stone surfaces establish a contemporary finish rather than a heavily ornamented traditional scheme.
On the main deck, the saloon is arranged for both informal sitting and more formal dining. Large windows are central to the arrangement, bringing daylight into spaces that can otherwise feel enclosed on a steel motor yacht. The aft circulation connects guests with outdoor lounging zones and the beach club. These spatial connections matter on longer cruises because service traffic, guest privacy and tender movements all compete for access through the same decks.
Edmiston's listing refers to an extensive refurbishment in 2023 and a full repaint, while its detailed feature list identifies a repaint carried out in 2022 at Lauderdale Marine Center in Florida. The timings should therefore be checked against invoices and the refit specification rather than treated as a single uninterrupted yard period. The marketing information also reports completion of DOMANI's ten-year RINA special survey in 2026, with additional upgrades undertaken around the same period.
A ten-year class survey is a meaningful milestone for a steel yacht, but it does not replace independent buyer due diligence. Purchasers should still examine survey status, recommendations and any outstanding conditions, as well as corrosion monitoring, machinery maintenance and electrical systems. A documented refit history can be especially valuable when distinguishing cosmetic renewal from work on tanks, piping and other concealed infrastructure.
Benetti handled the exterior styling and naval architecture. The hull is steel and the superstructure aluminium, a familiar material combination for yachts built for extensive use at displacement speeds. Edmiston lists a cruising speed of 13 knots and highlights a large sundeck with spa pool, alongside a dedicated beach club for access to the water. The configuration is intended to permit guests to occupy multiple decks simultaneously rather than concentrate recreation in one location.
For an owner contemplating transatlantic passages or extended Mediterranean programmes, the key questions extend beyond headline speed. Range at a given loading condition, fuel reserve policy, technical redundancy and the practical demands of managing eight crew will all shape the operating profile. Published particulars provide a starting point, not a substitute for sea trials and technical inspection.
DOMANI's renewed marketing comes as buyers compare relatively recent custom steel yachts with new-build delivery slots that may involve years of planning and construction. A ready-built yacht offers immediate visibility of layout, equipment and defects, but the purchase process still turns on a detailed record of maintenance, title, tax position and survey findings. The advertised €20 million is the broker's current asking price and should not be interpreted as a comparable achieved sale price.
The 2016 DOMANI should not be confused with another Benetti yacht carrying the same name and built in 2004. The distinction matters when checking third-party databases, photographs and historical asking prices. The present news concerns the 45-metre 2016-built yacht offered by Edmiston.
