58.5m Royal Huisman PHI Returns to Monaco Yacht Show 2026

Royal Huisman will return to the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 from 23 to 26 September, using its presence at Quai des États-Unis to highlight the 58.5-metre motor yacht PHI and the yard’s current superyacht innovations. The Dutch builder will be based at stand QE18 during the four-day event.

Royal Huisman describes Monaco as one of the key dates in its annual calendar. This year the yard is putting particular emphasis on PHI, a yacht whose unusually long, low-volume form remains distinctive several years after delivery and continues to illustrate the builder’s willingness to take on technically unconventional motor-yacht projects.

PHI remains unusual below 500 GT

Delivered in 2021, PHI measures 58.5 metres overall while remaining below 500 GT under current classification rules. Royal Huisman describes her as the world’s longest motor yacht in that category, a result of a highly slender aluminium platform and a Fast Displacement XL hull developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects.

The yacht’s general concept, exterior design and interior layout were developed by Cor D. Rover, with interior design by Lawson Robb. The styling is organised around the Golden Ratio, while the low profile and limited internal volume demanded close weight control and unusually compact engineering throughout the build.

A motor yacht built by a sailing-yacht specialist

PHI was a notable departure for Royal Huisman, which built its reputation on large custom sailing yachts. The project required the yard to apply its experience in lightweight aluminium construction and space-efficient engineering to a motor yacht that deliberately avoided the much taller profile normally associated with a yacht of this length.

That engineering challenge has become part of Royal Huisman’s wider message to owners considering bespoke motor yachts. The yard has since delivered other unusual motor-yacht projects, including the high-speed sportfisher Special One, while continuing its programme of custom sailing yachts and refit work through Huisfit.

Monaco as a client and design showcase

At Monaco, Royal Huisman will use PHI as a reference point for discussions about custom design, construction and technical development rather than presenting a new production series. That reflects the yard’s business model: every Royal Huisman yacht is individually commissioned, so show appearances are primarily opportunities to demonstrate completed engineering rather than promote a fixed model range.

For prospective owners, PHI provides a particularly visible example because her proportions challenge the normal relationship between length and internal volume. Her 58.5-metre hull offers the visual presence of a substantially larger yacht while staying under the 500 GT threshold that influences regulatory, crewing and operational considerations.

The shipyard’s team will be available at stand QE18 from 23 to 26 September. Royal Huisman says the focus will be on its current superyacht innovations and on the design-to-delivery story behind PHI, giving visitors an opportunity to discuss how the yard approaches projects that sit outside conventional yacht-building parameters.

The appearance adds another established Dutch custom builder to a Monaco Yacht Show fleet already set to include a large number of recent deliveries and world premieres. For Royal Huisman, the emphasis is less on a single new launch and more on demonstrating the technical thinking behind one of its most unconventional completed yachts.
