80m Amels NETTO II Departs on Maiden Mediterranean Voyage

NETTO II leaves Vlissingen for the Mediterranean

Damen Yachting has announced the departure of the 80-metre Amels NETTO II from Vlissingen, marking the start of her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean. The yacht joins the growing Amels 80 fleet after completion for an experienced owner.

NETTO II was developed around active family use at sea, with exterior design by Espen Øino and interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Her metallic dolphin-blue hull, platinum bootstripe and white superstructure give the yacht a distinct visual identity within the series.

Customisation shapes a proven platform

The owner used the Limited Editions platform as a technical foundation while customising spaces and details around a specific lifestyle brief. Damen Yachting says that balance between proven engineering and personalisation remains one of the defining attractions of the Amels 80 programme.

Owner’s representative Kees de Keizer highlighted the flexibility of the build process, while Captain Fraser Gow described the departure as the moment the yacht finally moves from construction into the adventures for which she was designed. Both comments underline the transition from project delivery to active family cruising.

Second Amels 80 enters active service

NETTO II follows PANGEA, which received a Judges’ Commendation at the 2026 World Superyacht Awards. The two yachts now provide further operational reference points for a platform intended to combine long-range capability with high levels of owner customisation.

The maiden voyage is therefore both a delivery milestone and the beginning of the yacht’s first Mediterranean season. For Amels, it also adds another completed 80-metre project to a series that is becoming increasingly central to the builder’s current range.
