Damen Yachting delivered its third Amels 80, Project Zurich, on 9 July, with a distinctive art-led interior and onward cruising towards northern Europe.
Damen Yachting confirmed the delivery and departure of its third Amels 80, Project Zurich, on 9 July 2026. The 80-metre yacht had completed its outfitting programme at Vlissingen and set out towards the United Kingdom before a planned cruise through the Baltic Sea and Norwegian fjords.
In a dated statement on 9 July, the shipyard identified Project Zurich as delivered and departed, concluding the new-build programme. Earlier news of the March launch and final outfitting represented construction milestones, not her status after the July handover.
Project Zurich is a distinct Amels 80 hull rather than a second name for the first yacht, PANGEA. The yard’s delivery announcement is the governing record for the third vessel’s completed status and supersedes any earlier schedule describing a future delivery.
Damen describes the owner’s brief as highly individual, with contemporary artworks by international artists integrated into the interior. The design studio behind the private accommodation remains confidential, so its identity should not be guessed from sisterships or other projects.
The shipyard characterises the treatment of art as integral to the rooms rather than a collection placed after fit-out. The result shows the breadth of personalisation possible within the technical framework of the Amels Limited Editions platform.
Project manager Sander Peeters said the project had been completed on schedule and within the agreed budget. These are the shipyard’s stated project outcomes, not an independently audited financial report, and they relate to this particular hull.
Following departure from Vlissingen, Damen said the yacht was heading towards the United Kingdom, with the Baltic Sea and Norwegian fjords on her intended first-season programme. Those destinations were an announced plan in July and do not establish her precise position on 29 September.
The 80-metre platform is shared with other Amels 80 projects, but delivery records, interiors and owner programmes must be attributed to the correct vessel. PANGEA’s Monaco appearance and other hulls’ construction milestones do not alter Project Zurich’s confirmed July delivery.
