Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage promotes five yachts for Raja Ampat and Komodo-Bali itineraries, with weekly charter rates starting at $32,550 plus ALL.
Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage has presented a five-yacht charter selection covering Raja Ampat, Komodo and Bali, with itineraries organised around Indonesia’s two principal cruising seasons. The 21 October announcement brings together THE ORACLE, CELESTIA, ANNE BONNY, KAYRA and KAILANA PREMIER, with advertised weekly rates beginning at US$32,550 plus the additional charter costs described as ALL.
The offer is significant because it packages multiple vessels and cruising regions into a single seasonal proposition rather than presenting Indonesia as one interchangeable destination. Guests considering a remote-water charter need to make choices about timing, cruising area and yacht type well before deciding how many islands can sensibly fit into an itinerary.
BGYB identifies November to April as the favoured period for its Raja Ampat programmes, when charter itineraries can concentrate on the archipelago’s reefs and island groups within the Coral Triangle. THE ORACLE and CELESTIA are advertised for that season, while ANNE BONNY is presented as an option for both Raja Ampat and the southern islands throughout the year.
For guests, this calendar matters more than a generic year-round availability claim. An itinerary built around reef exploration and relatively remote anchorages has different practical priorities from a fast-paced coastal holiday, including the distances between stops, dive arrangements and the ability to adapt plans to local weather and access conditions.
From May through October, BGYB shifts the emphasis towards Komodo and Bali. Its announcement names KAYRA and KAILANA PREMIER as focused on that southern programme, while THE ORACLE, CELESTIA and ANNE BONNY can also feature in different seasonal plans; Komodo routes may include Rinca, Padar and the islands towards Lombok.
The distinction gives charter clients a clearer basis for comparing itineraries. Travelling between dramatic volcanic scenery, protected coastal areas and established hospitality hubs calls for a different daily rhythm than concentrating on the marine biodiversity around Raja Ampat, even if the same family wants to experience both over successive holidays.
The published selection runs from a roughly 30-metre traditional-style phinisi to a 40-metre expedition-oriented yacht, according to the brokerage. That is a meaningful range of onboard experience: the layout, tender capacity, deck use and crew-supported activities can differ substantially, even before considering guest-cabin arrangements or weekly rates.
Prospective charterers should therefore treat the five vessel names as distinct products rather than assuming interchangeable accommodation. Matching an individual yacht to the party’s size, mobility needs, watersports interests and preferred degree of privacy remains a separate exercise from identifying which part of Indonesia is best suited to the travel dates.
Indonesia stretches over more than 17,000 islands and three time zones, a scale highlighted in BGYB’s announcement. For a private yacht, the appeal lies partly in connecting anchorages, reefs and cultural destinations that are less convenient to visit on a conventional hotel-based holiday, while keeping accommodation, crew and equipment together.
That flexibility does not make every requested stop practical. Passage time, daylight, sea state, national park procedures and local infrastructure can shape the actual route, so a realistic itinerary should preserve time for the places guests value most instead of turning the journey into an exhausting sequence of long transfers.
BGYB advertises starting rates of US$32,550 a week plus ALL, but that figure is an entry point for the published selection, not a rate confirmed for every yacht or travel date. Final charter costs typically depend on the particular vessel, the intended cruising area, season and additional arrangements agreed in the charter contract.
The most useful comparison is therefore the complete proposal rather than the lowest headline number. Guests should request a detailed breakdown of what the quoted charter fee includes, which operating expenses are additional, the expected transfers to the boarding port and any specific park or local arrangements before making a financial commitment.
The brokerage presents Raja Ampat through its reefs and biodiversity, and Komodo through its rugged island landscape and opportunities to combine marine activities with visits ashore. Bali and Lombok add further cultural and hospitality options, while the wider archipelago connects maritime heritage, island communities and different regional identities.
A worthwhile programme leaves room for those contrasts. Wildlife and reef experiences depend on responsible operations and local conditions, whereas cultural visits benefit from suitable guides and respectful scheduling; neither should be represented as an encounter that a yacht booking can guarantee on a particular day.
The principal news is the coordinated 2026–27 charter offering: five named yachts are being promoted across two distinct Indonesian cruising seasons by the same brokerage. It provides a timely starting point for owners’ guests, families and experienced charter clients who want a yacht-supported journey outside the conventional western Mediterranean circuit.
Availability, exact specifications and costs still require direct confirmation, and the published seasonal guidance is not a substitute for a captain’s voyage plan. Nevertheless, BGYB’s new line-up makes the commercial choice clearer: first decide whether Raja Ampat or Komodo and Bali best fit the calendar, then select the yacht built around that experience.
