Closing figures for the 49th edition

A closing report dated 16 September 2026 puts the Cannes Yachting Festival’s attendance at 56,000 visitors, with 660 exhibitors and 700 boats on display. The event ran from 8 to 13 September across Vieux Port and Port Canto, featuring nearly 150 world premieres according to the report.

The published closing report reproduces figures attributed to the organisers and lists 720 journalists from 45 countries. Earlier promotional totals still visible on the organiser’s website differ from these post-show figures, so the counts here are expressly those in the dated closing report rather than a claim that every public page has been updated.

Vieux Port and Port Canto split the fleet

The closing breakdown lists 360 boats at Vieux Port and 340 at Port Canto. Vieux Port concentrated on motor yachts and hosted builders, engines, equipment, yacht designers and professional service companies alongside a power-catamaran area.

Port Canto included 120 new sailing yachts in its Sailing Area and 180 smaller motorboats in its Power Boat Marina. Those figures describe sections of the broader show and should not be added to the 700-vessel total as if they were separate additional boats.

Large yachts and brokerage in Port Canto

The report records almost 45 pre-owned yachts over 25 metres in the Yacht Brokerage Area, offering visitors a second route into the large-yacht market alongside new-build displays. The yacht brokerage count is an exhibition figure and does not establish how many yachts changed hands during the festival.

Across both harbours, the organisers report 95 catamarans, comprising 51 sailing and 44 power examples. The boats on display ranged from five to 55 metres, so the overall event totals include many craft outside Superyacht Guide’s 24-metre-plus remit.

Innovation and the next stage for the show

Hybrid propulsion, solar technology and newer materials were among the topics featured during the 2026 edition. The festival’s Innovation Route received 120 applications and shortlisted 47 before presenting awards, including the navigation-equipment prize for BlueNav’s Smart Mooring, already covered separately by Superyacht Guide.
