Cantiere Rossini has appointed Gianluca Gabellini as Shipyard Director, with the leadership change effective from 1 September 2026. The Pesaro refit yard has also moved former Shipyard Director Alfonso Postorino into the new role of Shipyard Ambassador after ten years in operational leadership.
The transition keeps both executives within the Cantiere Rossini organisation while separating day-to-day shipyard direction from the ambassadorial role. Gabellini steps up from his previous position as Senior Project Manager, while Postorino remains connected to the yard in a representative and strategic capacity.
Gabellini’s promotion places an existing member of the management team in charge of the yard’s operational direction. His previous role as Senior Project Manager gave him direct experience inside Cantiere Rossini before the appointment to Shipyard Director.
The change therefore represents an internal succession rather than an external recruitment. For owners, captains and managers using the Pesaro facility, the management transition retains continuity within the team while establishing Gabellini as the person responsible for the shipyard’s next operational phase.
Alfonso Postorino is moving from Shipyard Director to the newly defined Shipyard Ambassador position after ten years at the operational helm. The new role keeps his experience within the business while shifting his focus away from daily management of the yard.
That structure allows Cantiere Rossini to retain Postorino’s long association with the company while giving Gabellini full responsibility for shipyard direction. The two appointments are therefore parts of one leadership transition rather than separate departures and arrivals.
Cantiere Rossini operates in Pesaro on Italy’s Adriatic coast, with its work centred on superyacht refit and repainting. The yard’s location and specialist facilities make the management change relevant to yachts planning maintenance, repair and refit programmes in the central Mediterranean and Adriatic region.
Chief executive Stewart Parvin remains at the head of the company as the new structure takes effect. With Gabellini moving into operational leadership and Postorino taking an ambassadorial role, the yard is retaining senior experience while redefining how responsibility is divided.
