Two explorer yachts bring home recognition

Cantiere delle Marche has highlighted a double success at the World Superyacht Awards with explorer yachts RJ and Haze2. The two vessels come from different parts of the yard’s portfolio and were developed around contrasting owner priorities.

RJ belongs to the RJ line and combines exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski with interiors by Achille Salvagni. Haze2 is a Darwin 102, retaining the more overt expedition character associated with one of CdM’s longest-running explorer families.

Different designs share an explorer foundation

The yard points to the contrast between the two winners as evidence that explorer capability does not require one visual formula. RJ has a sleeker architectural character, while Haze2 uses a more traditional workboat-influenced profile and highly practical layout.

Both depend on the engineering principles that define CdM’s core market: robust construction, range, storage and systems suitable for extended independent cruising. Interior choices can then move from refined contemporary spaces to more utilitarian expedition priorities.

Awards support the yard’s broader market position

Recognition for two different yachts in the same year gives CdM a useful commercial story because it demonstrates range rather than success with one isolated design. The Ancona builder has grown by specialising in owners who want genuine cruising capability below the very largest superyacht sizes.

The result also supports the yard’s argument that explorer yachts can be highly individual without losing their technical purpose. RJ and Haze2 approach the category differently, but both are intended to travel far beyond the marina-based patterns of conventional luxury cruising.
