The first 39.8m Custom Line Saetta 128 entered the water at Ancona on 30 September, with three yachts already sold and a five-cabin, under-300GT design.
Custom Line launched the first Saetta 128 at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona on 30 September 2026, announcing the occasion publicly on 8 October. The 39.80-metre planing tri-deck extends the builder’s Saetta family into a larger size bracket, and the yard says three examples have already been sold. Those sales are orders for the design, not evidence that three finished yachts have been delivered.
The launch gathered the build team alongside the designers responsible for the new model’s appearance and interior architecture. Matteo Sassone and Veronica Yien of SY Design developed the exterior, their first collaboration with Custom Line, while ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel created the interior architecture. Custom Line Atelier supported the individual detailing and material decisions, providing a bridge between the model’s design language and the owner’s preferences.
With a maximum beam of 7.69 metres and gross tonnage kept below 300 GT, Saetta 128 uses its available dimensions to create several distinct social settings rather than one oversized communal space. The main deck has a 33-square-metre aft terrace leading into a 40-square-metre saloon that includes dining. Moving between the two is central to the yacht’s indoor-outdoor arrangement.
The owner’s accommodation lies forward on the main deck, with a dressing area, bathroom and full-height glazing. Four additional cabins occupy the lower deck, comprising three VIP rooms and one guest room, with capacity for ten guests overall or eleven if an optional Pullman berth is included. Crew accommodation for six, including the captain, is arranged forward below deck. That separation is useful when an owner wants full guest service while retaining privacy.
A sky lounge of approximately 20 square metres opens onto a 40-square-metre aft terrace on the upper deck, creating another place to gather without drawing everyone back into the main saloon. Forward on the same level is a 25-square-metre lounging and sunbathing area with U-shaped seating, storage and the option of a hydromassage wellness feature. These dimensions indicate the priority given to outdoor living at anchor.
Above, the 30-square-metre sundeck can be arranged with free-standing furniture and loungers. The interior concept on the first hull is called Perfect Mood, combining walnut and maple woods with chocolate and mocha-toned lacquers, pale marble and textured ivory wallcoverings. These are selections for the inaugural yacht, not a promise that every subsequent buyer must specify the same finish palette.
Power comes from two MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, each rated at 2,638 horsepower. The shipyard quotes an estimated top speed of 22 knots and cruising speed of 19 knots, expressly identifying these as preliminary figures. Actual sea-trial performance, range at a specified load and fuel consumption should be checked against the completed vessel’s technical results.
The builder also says the yacht can be certified to IMO Tier III requirements, an important consideration for operation in regulated areas. The immediate news is the first physical launch and the reported three-hull order book; delivery dates and sea-trial results were not established in the announcement. Owners considering the model should therefore distinguish proven launch-stage facts from specifications still awaiting final confirmation.
