Edmiston says it accounted for 67 percent of global yacht brokerage transaction value during June 2026, making the month one of its strongest in recent years. The brokerage completed five yacht sales with a combined length of more than 350 metres, including two yachts above 100 metres, and says the transactions generated just under €600 million in sales value.
Edmiston’s June results were driven by only five transactions, but the size of the yachts pushed the combined value close to €600 million. Two of the yachts measured more than 100 metres, showing how a small number of top-end deals can materially influence monthly brokerage statistics.
That concentration is important when interpreting market-share figures. The superyacht sector is not a high-volume market, particularly above 60 metres, so one or two very large transactions can change the value distribution even when the total number of yachts sold remains relatively modest.
Edmiston reports that by the end of June it had completed the sale of 20 yachts over 30 metres during 2026. The company says those transactions represented a combined value of €1.1 billion, including yachts such as the 55-metre STEP ONE and 50-metre DAISY D.
The figures extend beyond a single unusually strong month and suggest sustained activity across the first half of the year. They also reinforce the importance of the 50-metre-plus segment, where transaction values rise quickly and access to qualified buyers can be more important than broad public exposure.
Edmiston attributes its results to international brokerage reach, market intelligence and experience positioning yachts for sale. At the upper end, transactions frequently involve private discussions, controlled marketing and buyers who may be considering both publicly listed and off-market opportunities at the same time.
That makes the headline asking price only one part of the transaction. Timing, survey findings, technical history, owner motivation and the broker’s ability to connect the right parties can all determine whether a major yacht moves from interest to completion.
A month in which five sales generate almost €600 million does not describe the entire brokerage sector, but it demonstrates that substantial capital remains active in large-yacht transactions. Buyers are still willing to commit to complex, high-value assets when the right yacht and commercial terms align.
For Superyacht Guide readers, the useful takeaway is the scale of the upper market. Edmiston’s reported 67 percent share of June transaction value shows how strongly 100-metre-plus and other major sales can shape industry statistics, while the company’s 20 completed sales above 30 metres point to broader activity beneath those headline deals.
