Fraser and Golden Yachts backed the 2026 amfAR London Gala with an exclusive Greek Isles experience featuring the 56m O’MATHILDE.
Fraser Yachts has detailed its participation in the 2026 amfAR London Gala, bringing an international yachting component to the event's fundraising programme. The gathering took place at The Chancery Rosewood in London on 16 October and was subsequently reported by the brokerage.
Fraser Yachts Greece participated as a signature sponsor, and Fraser chief executive Anders Kurtén served as event chair. The company joined Golden Yachts in contributing an exclusive travel experience that connected private yachting with a high-end hospitality stay in Greece.
The initiative is a useful example of the brokerage community participating in wider philanthropy rather than a conventional launch, charter marketing campaign or vessel sale. The purpose of the auction contribution was to support amfAR's work, not to announce a new operational route for public booking.
The auction offering was planned as a six-night Greek Isles escape for up to twelve guests. Fraser says the arrangement included three nights aboard the 56-metre motor yacht O'MATHILDE, followed by three nights at Rosewood Blue Palace on Crete.
The proposed journey was framed as an Athens-to-Athens itinerary in May 2027. The particulars are those described in the company's fundraising announcement, and they should not be confused with published public charter availability or a standing commercial package.
A yacht-and-resort combination can provide the contrasting rhythms that make a charitable travel auction attractive to international collectors. Time aboard offers privacy and mobility, while the island hotel stay provides a different setting without forcing an entire holiday into one mode of travel.
The second annual London gala brought together guests from business, entertainment, art and philanthropic circles. Fraser's account describes a reception, formal dinner, live auction and performances by Rita Ora and Jamie Miller during the evening.
Jeremy Irons was recognised with an inspiration award for lifetime achievement, while designer Philip Treacy received an award for excellence. Those recognitions formed part of the programme supporting the charity's research mission.
Fraser reports a total of US$2.2 million raised at the event, alongside its own financial contribution and the donated travel experience. That total is the company's description of the gala proceeds and should not be represented as the value of the yacht experience itself.
Superyacht companies are unusually well placed to organise experiences that cannot be replicated by a standard raffle prize. Their connections with owners, crews, destinations and hospitality partners make high-value charitable auction lots possible within a carefully coordinated programme.
Such initiatives also entail planning obligations that are not visible in the final auction catalogue. Guest capacity, appropriate insurance, weather contingencies, operating permissions and expectations around services need to be clear to the organiser and the successful bidder.
The charitable value lies in both the support for research and the willingness of partners to contribute a scarce luxury experience. Reporting the donation accurately means distinguishing the described auction package from a confirmed sale, an ordinary charter or a published yacht valuation.
Fraser says the initiative supported amfAR's HIV/AIDS research and projects benefiting people dealing with cancer, Alzheimer's disease and age-related conditions. The company's report also highlights the contribution of its Greek operation alongside Golden Yachts.
For the superyacht sector, the announcement shows how an experienced brokerage network can support a major international gathering through a practical travel offering. It also demonstrates the role of collaboration between yacht interests and land-based luxury hospitality.
The central point is not a claim about future charter business or the market at large, but a specific philanthropic event and its announced contribution. The named yacht and the May 2027 plan are important context for readers who follow how superyacht assets are used outside ordinary brokerage transactions.
