Project MASTER began life as an offshore emergency-response and rescue vessel before the conversion programme at ICON Yachts in the Netherlands. Fraser now describes a 70-metre explorer with 2,801 GT and accommodation for twelve guests in six cabins.
The listing also provides space for twenty-five crew, reflecting an operating model suited to demanding long-range itineraries. It is a conversion project rather than a newly laid keel for a conventional series-built motor yacht.
In the headline specification, the builder year appears as 2027, but the longer sale description expressly says delivery is scheduled for 2028. The body wording is an announced target and does not establish a completed owner handover in either year.
Fraser previously reported a technical launch in July 2025 after the first stage of conversion. The yacht then moved to ICON's indoor dry dock for outfitting, a stage that is distinct from final completion and formal delivery.
The broker's specification describes hybrid diesel-electric machinery with five Scania generators and two electric Voith Schneider propulsion units. Fraser quotes a 6,700-nautical-mile range at ten knots, a design and operating figure rather than a verified passage report.
Other listed expedition facilities include a commercial helideck for a helicopter weighing up to 4.3 tonnes and Polar Code C certification. These systems are central to the conversion brief, not accessories that can be inferred from an unrelated explorer yacht.
Fraser's €99.5 million figure is the published asking price for the unfinished project; it is not a reported sale consideration. The vessel's named design collaborators include Espen Øino for the exterior and Winch Design for the interior.
