The 66th Genoa International Boat Show has opened with more than 1,000 boats, 215 new products and a stronger presence from larger yachts.
The 66th Genoa International Boat Show has opened at the Waterfront di Levante with more than 1,000 boats and 215 new products on display. Official data from Confindustria Nautica also show a stronger high-end presence in 2026, with the average size of the three largest yachts in each segment increasing by 14.1% compared with last year.
Confindustria Nautica says larger yachts are increasingly visible across the 2026 exhibition. The average size of the three largest units in each segment has risen 14.1% year on year, while the in-water display area has expanded by 4%.
That shift gives the Genoa show greater relevance to the superyacht supply chain, particularly for builders, equipment companies, designers and service businesses operating around larger private yachts. It also reflects the relative resilience of the high-end market highlighted in the association’s latest economic data.
The show brings together more than 1,000 boats, 215 new products and exhibitors representing 45 countries across five continents. The new Waterfront di Levante provides around 200,000 square metres of exhibition space across land and water.
Organisers position the event as an international showcase for innovation, luxury and design. The format combines yacht displays with equipment, components, technology, professional services and policy discussions affecting the wider marine industry.
Multihulls are another growth area, with the number of units displayed rising 28% compared with 2025. The increase supports a broader market trend toward greater interior volume, efficiency and alternative layouts across both power and sailing sectors.
Technology is also prominent through the TechTrade programme and industry forums. Discussions around digitalisation, regulation, cybersecurity, sustainability and next-generation propulsion place supplier innovation alongside the finished yachts on display.
The opening comes as Italy reports record boating-industry turnover and a 52% share of the global superyacht orderbook. Genoa therefore serves not only as a consumer show but also as a commercial meeting point for one of the world’s most important yacht-building clusters.
The 66th Genoa International Boat Show runs from October 1 to 6, 2026. Its stronger high-end representation adds another major autumn marketplace immediately after Cannes and Monaco.
