The 27.4m Gunboat 90 TIGER LILY TOO has joined the sales market through Northrop & Johnson at an asking price of $14.995 million. The unique 2010 carbon catamaran underwent an $11 million refit from 2019 to 2021 and received further upgrades in 2025.
The 90-foot, approximately 27.4-metre Gunboat catamaran TIGER LILY TOO has joined the sales market through Northrop & Johnson at an asking price of $14.995 million. The brokerage announced the listing on 4 September 2026, describing the 2010 yacht as the only Gunboat 90 ever produced and naming Richard Callender and Sean McCarter as the brokers handling the sale.
The yacht comes to market after substantial technical and structural investment, including an $11 million refit at Newport Shipyard between 2019 and 2021 and another programme of upgrades completed in 2025. The work has transformed much of the yacht's machinery, rig, deck equipment and interior arrangement while preserving the full-carbon performance-cruising platform on which the original Gunboat 90 was built.
The 2019–2021 programme replaced or upgraded all onboard systems across machinery, appliances and electronics, according to Northrop & Johnson. One of the most significant structural changes was the installation of a full-width carbon beam in place of four posts that had previously interrupted the main salon, creating a substantially more open interior space.
The galley was also relocated into the starboard hull to separate crew operations from the principal guest areas. Work extended to the mast components, sail package, standing and running rigging, daggerboards, titanium rudder bearings, coach roof, exterior styling and boarding arrangements, while PTO-driven bow thrusters were added to improve manoeuvring.
Investment continued last year with replacement teak fitted across the transoms, steps and both cockpits. The mast was repainted and overhauled, the headstay was replaced and the rig received another programme of work that included a new switch-car stack-pack and car system.
The sail wardrobe was also updated with a North 3Di mainsail and Solent incorporating an RP locking headboard. Taken together with the earlier refit, the 2025 programme means the yacht's current specification reflects considerably more recent investment than her original 2010 build date might suggest, although buyers will still need to assess service records, machinery condition and refit documentation during survey.
TIGER LILY TOO was designed by Morrelli & Melvin and built in Cape Town as a full-carbon composite performance-cruising catamaran. Northrop & Johnson describes the structure as using a Nomex aramid honeycomb core with carbon-fibre inner skins and Kevlar outer skins, an approach intended to combine structural stiffness with reduced weight.
Lifting rudders and daggerboards reduce draught to about 5.2 feet, extending access to shallower anchorages while retaining the deeper appendage configuration needed for sailing performance offshore. Despite the yacht's performance-oriented design, the brokerage says TIGER LILY TOO has never been raced and that her operational history has instead centred on cruising.
Accommodation is arranged for eight guests in four cabins, with separate quarters for up to four crew. The refitted interior and revised galley arrangement are intended to provide clearer separation between guest and service spaces, while the wide salon created by the carbon structural beam has become one of the most visible consequences of the major refit.
The yacht also carries 53 solar panels producing a combined 7,700 watts, supported by a high-capacity battery bank. The confirmed market development is the $14.995 million asking price and Northrop & Johnson's appointment to market the yacht; no sale has been announced, so the figure remains an asking price rather than a transaction value. The official Northrop & Johnson listing announcement is the primary source for the market update and specification reported here.
