Northrop & Johnson has announced a $750,000 price reduction on the Horizon FD90 RIO, now asking $8.25 million ahead of FLIBS 2026.
Northrop & Johnson has announced a $750,000 price reduction on the Horizon FD90 RIO, bringing the yacht's asking price to $8.25 million. The yacht is listed with broker Carl Sputh and is scheduled to appear at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show from 28 October to 1 November.
Delivered in late 2022 as a 2023 model, RIO combines a 90-foot platform with a 7.11-metre beam and a relatively shallow draft suited to cruising areas such as the Bahamas and Florida Keys. The price adjustment therefore lands shortly before one of the most important US brokerage shows, when buyers can inspect the yacht directly.
RIO accommodates 11 guests across five en-suite cabins, with a full-beam master suite positioned on the main deck. Below deck are two queen cabins plus flexible guest cabins that can change between king, twin and three-single arrangements depending on the party onboard.
Twin MTU 16V engines have approximately 2,700 hours and provide an 11-knot cruising speed with a top speed reported at roughly 17 to 19 knots. Northrop & Johnson also quotes a range of about 2,500 miles, while stabilisation is available both underway and at anchor.
The yacht carries dual watermakers, substantial freshwater storage and multiple outdoor guest areas including a heated jacuzzi, swim platform, forward lounge and flybridge spaces. The upper-deck skylounge adds another interior social area and can provide an additional sleeping berth when required.
With the reduction now in place, RIO enters FLIBS at a clearer price point for buyers comparing recent Horizon FD90s and similar high-volume yachts. The combination of age, equipment, shallow-draft cruising capability and immediate show access should make the yacht a useful benchmark within the current US brokerage market.
