Lürssen Marks Six 2026 Deliveries and Plans Tarragona Service Centre

Lürssen is using the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 to mark a year in which it has delivered six custom yachts ranging from 78 metres to more than 100 metres. The group has also confirmed that its Fast Operations and Repair Unit, known as FORU, is set to gain a dedicated Mediterranean service centre in Tarragona, Spain.

The six deliveries named by Lürssen are BOARDWALK, DEEP BLUE, NAUSICAÄ, NIXIE, O3 and ODISEA. The 102.4-metre NIXIE is making its global yacht-show debut in Monaco, providing the public focal point for a delivery programme that spans several very different custom projects.

Six deliveries underline the scale of the new-build programme

Lürssen describes the 2026 group as evidence of the breadth of its custom-build capability rather than a single design family. The yard says project-specific engineering during the year has included large glass structures, specialised dry-dock solutions, permanent exterior LED screens and heavily reconfigured layouts developed around individual owner requirements.

That variety is important because yachts at this end of the market are not simply scaled versions of one another. Their technical demands can differ substantially according to hull form, guest programme, tender and helicopter operations, exterior architecture, glazing, entertainment systems and the owner’s intended cruising pattern.

NIXIE becomes Monaco’s visible reference point

Although the story covers six deliveries, NIXIE is the yacht visitors can inspect as the current public representative of the group. At 102.4 metres, the yacht sits firmly among the largest new vessels appearing at Monaco and gives Lürssen a direct way to demonstrate the build quality and engineering behind this year’s delivery output.

The other delivered yachts broaden the picture further, from the 78-metre ODISEA upward. Lürssen has not presented the six as sisterships, and the value of the list lies precisely in the differences between them: each was developed as a custom commission rather than as another hull from a standard production line.

Refit activity has also reached six major projects

The new-build programme has been matched by six major refits completed in northern Germany during 2026, with Lürssen giving their combined length as more than 650 metres. One example is the 136-metre HADAR, formerly Flying Fox, which received a full paint programme, engine overhaul and a custom folding mast intended to reduce air draft by six metres.

That work shows why large-yacht after-sales support increasingly overlaps with engineering development. A refit may involve conventional maintenance, but it can also require new structural or mechanical solutions when owners want to change how a yacht operates or open access to cruising areas that were previously restricted by its dimensions.

Tarragona will become a Mediterranean support base

Lürssen says FORU has continued to expand year by year and will now add a dedicated service centre in Tarragona. The Spanish location has been selected as a working base in a region with a high concentration of Lürssen yachts and other large vessels, while mobile teams will continue to travel to yachts operating farther afield.

The planned centre extends Lürssen’s relationship with owners beyond construction and major northern-European refits. For a fleet that spends substantial time in the Mediterranean, a permanent technical base in Spain can shorten the distance between the yacht and the builder’s support network for troubleshooting, repair and planned maintenance.
