Gulf Craft has presented the 54m Majesty 180 as the proposed new composite flagship of the Majesty range, with Cristiano Gatto Design and a focus on wellbeing-led living.

A proposed new flagship above the existing Majesty range

Gulf Craft has introduced the Majesty 180, a 54-metre composite yacht proposal that would become the flagship of its Majesty superyacht family if developed and completed as planned. The design was revealed at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 and has since been discussed in the builder’s brokerage network.

The yacht remains in development, and final specifications and a delivery date have not been announced. The distinction is important because a presentation of a design cannot be treated as a launch, an operating vessel, or confirmation that production has already reached a particular milestone.

Gulf Craft has described the project as potentially the largest semi-production composite yacht in the world when completed. That is a forward-looking claim dependent on the final specification and the market at delivery rather than a record that can be verified for a vessel already afloat.

Cristiano Gatto brings an established visual language

Cristiano Gatto Design is responsible for the design direction, building on the studio’s earlier work within the Majesty family. The practice has been involved with multiple Gulf Craft yachts, including interior projects and full interior-and-exterior commissions on larger Majesty models.

For the Majesty 180, the design brief places emphasis on the movement of guests between enclosed and open spaces, supported by generous glazing and adaptable layouts. The aim is to create a yacht that feels connected to the surrounding water rather than divided into completely separate public rooms.

Concept imagery and early design statements cannot establish the finished vessel’s structural arrangements, final materials or usable deck areas. Prospective clients should request updated plans and engineering information as the project moves through the development process.

Wellbeing placed within the overall arrangement

The announced design direction incorporates wellbeing into everyday life aboard, treating privacy, rest, social interaction, movement and proximity to the sea as related aspects of the guest experience. This is different from presenting one gym or spa room as a stand-alone claim to luxury.

In practical terms, owners considering a yacht of this size should examine noise and vibration control, cabin separation and the relationship between guest routes and crew operations. These factors can contribute more to comfort during extended occupancy than any single headline feature.

Large expanses of glass and varied outdoor spaces can offer attractive views and flexible social settings, but they also create engineering and operational questions around shading, air conditioning, structural integrity and maintenance. Such matters will only become clear when full technical documentation is available.

Composite construction in the Gulf Craft programme

Gulf Craft intends to build the Majesty 180 in composite at its UAE production facilities, keeping design, engineering and construction within its own industrial network. Composite construction at this scale requires careful management of moulding quality, structures, fire safety, acoustic performance and long-term inspection access.

The proposal sits above the Majesty 160 and Majesty 145 in the shipyard’s developing range, but it should not be assumed to share every item of equipment or layout philosophy with those boats. The company has yet to publish complete final specifications for the new design.

For owners interested in new construction, the announcement provides a possible direction for future conversations with the shipyard rather than an immediately available yacht. Any serious commission will depend on agreed plans, survey and class requirements, a build contract and a realistic construction schedule.
