33.25m MARBELLA IV Drops to $3.295m After $2.2m Refit

Northrop & Johnson has reduced the asking price of the 33.25-metre Sovereign motor yacht MARBELLA IV by $155,000 to $3.295 million. The change follows a $2.2 million, ten-month refit completed in 2026 that covered interior, exterior and technical systems.

Built in 2001, MARBELLA IV had already undergone a major mechanical refit in 2016 before the latest programme. Northrop & Johnson is offering the yacht for sale through broker Whit Kirtland.

$2.2 million refit modernised the yacht

The 2026 refit included approximately $1.6 million of spending on mechanical and electrical systems, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics and exterior areas. Northrop & Johnson says the work also included a new 20-ton Dometic reverse-cycle air-conditioning system and 21 new or rebuilt air handlers.

Navigation and communications equipment were also upgraded, including new Garmin navigation, radar and communications hardware together with FLIR equipment. The scale of the technical investment indicates that the programme went well beyond cosmetic refurbishment.

Paturzo Yacht Design reworked the interior

Approximately $593,000 was invested in an interior redesign by Paturzo Yacht Design. The work included new furniture, carpeting, headliners, millwork, wallcoverings, soft goods and artwork across the guest areas.

The yacht accommodates eight guests in four en-suite cabins, led by a full-beam on-deck master suite. A full-beam VIP and two additional guest cabins complete the arrangement, with one of the latter able to convert between queen and twin configuration.

Flybridge and machinery received major attention

Exterior improvements include new teak and upholstery on the flybridge, which can accommodate more than 15 guests. The area also includes a five-person Jacuzzi, dining space, service bar, gas firepit, television and barbecue station beneath a custom composite hardtop.

MARBELLA IV is powered by twin Caterpillar C-18 ACERT Tier III diesel engines and carries Naiad fin stabilisers, a triple Seakeeper arrangement, ABT bow and stern thrusters and twin 55kW Kohler generators. Those systems reinforce the extent to which the 2026 programme was focused on continued operational use rather than presentation alone.

Asking price moves to $3.295 million

The latest $155,000 reduction takes the asking price to $3.295 million. For buyers, the value proposition now combines an older 33-metre platform with a very recent and unusually extensive refit programme.

The key due-diligence question will be how the recent expenditure translates into condition, future maintenance requirements and survey findings.
