Marina Porto Antico is positioning its 270-berth Genoa facility as a city-centre stop for cruising yachts and superyachts up to 75 metres.
Marina Porto Antico is strengthening its position as a city-centre destination for yachts visiting Genoa, offering 270 berths for vessels from 7 to 75 metres. The marina sits within the historic port and gives crews and guests direct access to the old city rather than placing them in a remote outer-harbour facility.
Water depths reach up to approximately seven metres, allowing the marina to accommodate larger yachts as well as smaller cruising craft. That combination of berth size, draft and location makes the facility relevant to superyachts moving between French and Italian Mediterranean destinations.
Porto Antico is supported by a network of nearby marine contractors and technical businesses operating around Genoa’s commercial and yachting harbour. Visiting yachts can therefore combine guest access to the city with maintenance, provisioning and operational work during the same port call.
For captains, this can reduce the need to move between a technical berth and a separate guest destination. The marina’s central position also simplifies crew transport, deliveries and access to local suppliers while the yacht remains alongside.
Large-yacht destinations increasingly need to offer a complete operating environment rather than only adequate quay length and power. Easy access to hospitality, airports, technical support and provisioning can influence itinerary decisions when several Mediterranean ports offer similar cruising geography.
Genoa already has a substantial marine-industry base, and Marina Porto Antico adds an urban berth option within that wider ecosystem. Its ability to accommodate yachts up to 75 metres gives visiting superyachts another practical stop between the Ligurian coast, French Riviera and northern Italian refit centres.
