Meccano Launches MEDESIGN with 110m INFINITY Yacht Concept

A dedicated name for the design division

Meccano Engineering introduced MEDESIGN at the Monaco Yacht Show on 24 September 2026 as a dedicated brand for custom yacht design and styling. The new identity sits within the Trieste-based engineering group's broader marine, yacht, defence and energy activities and gives its creative work a distinct public-facing home.

The first project shown under that name is INFINITY, a 110-metre concept with a 16.3-metre beam. The announcement is a design debut rather than confirmation of a construction contract, completed yacht or scheduled delivery.

A bow that explains the name

INFINITY's mirrored forward superstructure traces the infinity symbol, establishing an architectural motif visible in the yacht's profile. The designers contrast streamlined surfaces influenced by automotive design with a stern treatment that references more traditional forms, aiming for a balance of strong identity and long-term appeal.

The project-specific renderings released for the Monaco presentation show the exterior design, while its working technical specification remains subject to development. A striking concept feature should not be interpreted as proof that every engineering or certification question has been completed.

Water woven through the guest arrangement

The concept places pools on several decks, including an indoor lower-deck pool and an upper-deck panoramic pool. A stern SkyDomeTerrace adds a sunbathing area and its own pool beneath a retractable glazed covering intended to extend the use of the space in different conditions.

Each guest suite is also envisaged with a private exterior balcony, extending the relationship between accommodation and the sea. Those are design intentions for a possible custom new-build rather than features demonstrated aboard an operational vessel.

Design supported by a longer engineering history

Meccano Engineering was founded in 2000 and has experience across naval architecture, ship systems and the engineering support required to take marine projects from concept towards construction. The company presents MEDESIGN as a way of pairing its technical background with a more visible bespoke styling service for owners and builders.
