Monaco Yacht Show 2026: Port Hercule Entry Rules for Captains and Tenders

Restricted access begins at midnight on 23 September

Monaco's ministerial order 2026-363 restricts vessel access to Port Hercule from 00:00 on Wednesday 23 September until 18:30 on Saturday 26 September 2026, during Monaco Yacht Show. This is a port-navigation restriction established by government order, not merely a recommendation in the visitor programme.

The harbour is closed to incoming and outgoing traffic daily between midnight and 07:00 throughout the restriction period. Captains arranging guest transfers, deliveries or repositioning must account for the closure before making commitments to owners or service providers.

Identification badges and three-knot maximum

Between 07:00 and midnight on 23–25 September, and from 07:00 to 18:30 on 26 September, the order admits only vessels carrying a Monaco Yacht Show identification badge. A maximum speed of three knots applies inside Port Hercule during the controlled period.

The regulation exempts government, assistance and rescue vessels from the closure, badge and speed articles. The maritime and public-security authorities may exceptionally grant derogations from the closure or badge requirements, but ordinary yacht operators should not assume that an exemption will be available.

Organiser screening is separate from show entry

The Monaco Yacht Show's security guidance adds a maritime screening point at the harbour entrance and requires a visible boat-identification sticker on the port side, together with the appropriate personal passes. The organiser distinguishes these waterside credentials from admission accreditation to the exhibition, so possessing a show visitor ticket is not sufficient authority to navigate into the port.

Captains should confirm practical arrangements with the harbour master's office and event organiser, particularly for tenders operating between anchored yachts and shore.
