MYBA has confirmed that its 2027 charter show will return to Portosole Marina in Sanremo from Monday 3 to Thursday 6 May. The professional event gives charter brokers a concentrated opportunity to inspect yachts and meet their crews before the Mediterranean season, with the following Mediterranean Yacht Show scheduled to start in Greece two days later.
The association's published calendar places the MYBA Charter Show back in Sanremo for 3–6 May 2027. Portosole is a working Italian Riviera marina close to the France–Italy cruising corridor, giving charter professionals a useful base for inspecting yachts that will be operating around the western Mediterranean. The exhibition is a trade gathering rather than a retail boat show, and the significant value lies in meetings aboard individual yachts. Charter brokers can inspect accommodation, deck arrangements and onboard service while speaking to the captains and hospitality teams responsible for delivering the guest experience.
MYBA says it consulted the Greek Yachting Association before setting its dates so that the two major charter events could be attended in sequence. The Mediterranean Yacht Show is set for 8–12 May 2027, leaving a short travel window after the Sanremo event. That coordination matters to international charter brokers covering both western and eastern Mediterranean fleets. It does not establish that every yacht will attend or that final berth allocations are already fixed. Availability, exhibitor lists, invitation rules and meeting arrangements should be confirmed on the relevant organiser websites as preparations advance.
For charter yachts, a show can be more informative than a photograph or specification sheet. Brokers assess maintenance presentation, cabin flexibility, guest circulation, tender arrangements and the quality of the onboard programme, then use those findings when matching clients to a yacht. Captains and crew can discuss cruising areas, itinerary feasibility and seasonal logistics directly with the people selling the charter. A well-prepared yacht needs accurate inventory, updated photography and current service information so the visit reflects its actual operating condition rather than an outdated brochure.
Participation requires time for routing, berth booking, crewing, provisioning and any technical work ahead of the charter season. Owners planning major upgrades should sequence them around both the show's deadlines and the first guest embarkations; last-minute work can be difficult when service networks are busy. Brokers likewise need to build inspection itineraries that leave enough time aboard each yacht rather than racing through the docks. The published dates provide a planning anchor, while the final event programme, yacht list and entry conditions remain matters for MYBA to confirm closer to May.
Successful pre-season inspections also depend on accurate commercial information. Brokers need current accommodation plans, charter inclusions, water-toy inventories, cruising permissions and practical details such as guest boarding at anchor. The ship's annual operating work should be sufficiently complete that the captain can discuss a realistic schedule rather than a provisional one. MYBA's calendar announcement does not confirm which yachts will berth in Sanremo, and Superyacht Guide will treat any future exhibitor or fleet claims separately once the association publishes them.
