Nanni has introduced its Q30000 marine generator range for large yachts and commercial vessels, expanding output to 764–1,213kW with diesel, HVO and F-76 compatibility.
Nanni Industries has introduced the Q30000 as the new flagship of its marine generator range, with outputs from 764kW to 1,213kW. The company is targeting superyachts and megayachts above 100 feet alongside commercial and military vessels that require high electrical loads in restricted machinery spaces.
The range is being presented around Monaco Yacht Show 2026 as part of Nanni's response to increasing hotel loads, electrification and emissions requirements. The figures are manufacturer specifications, and actual installation output will depend on the selected configuration and vessel electrical architecture.
Nanni says the Q30000 platform is compatible with conventional diesel, hydrotreated vegetable oil and NATO F-76 fuel. That flexibility can matter for yachts operating internationally, although fuel availability, certification and engine-maker requirements still need to be checked for each vessel and operating area.
The company also lists IMO Tier II and Tier III compliance together with Stage V emissions capability and a certification pathway for classed generator sets. Final compliance on a specific yacht will depend on the complete installation, exhaust after-treatment where required and the approvals applied to that project.
Large yachts increasingly carry substantial hotel loads from climate control, entertainment systems, stabilisation, galley equipment, pumps and other services. Hybrid systems and greater electrification can add further demand while designers continue trying to protect machinery-space volume for accommodation and technical access.
A higher-power genset does not automatically mean better efficiency, because generator sizing should follow the yacht's actual load profile and redundancy strategy. Owners and yards will still need to compare operating points, sound treatment, service access, fuel consumption and parallel-running arrangements before specifying a package.
Nanni scheduled the official Q30000 launch for 22 September ahead of Monaco Yacht Show, where shipyards and technical teams can discuss the range with the manufacturer. No named superyacht installation was identified in the launch announcement.
The practical next step will be the first yacht-specific contracts and class-approved installations. Those projects will provide better evidence of packaging, acoustic performance and operating efficiency than a product launch alone can establish.
