Numarine has delivered the 30th and final 26XP explorer yacht, closing a production run that became central to the Turkish builder's compact explorer range. The 27XP now takes over as its next evolution.
Numarine has closed one of the defining chapters in its compact explorer programme with the delivery of the 30th and final 26XP. In its official announcement, the Turkish builder said the yacht has begun cruising with her new owner and described the handover as the grand finale of the 26XP production run, with the model's role now passing to the 27XP.
The milestone gives the 26XP a final production tally of 30 yachts and underlines how important the platform became within Numarine's XP family. The builder credits the model with combining compact versatility, rugged explorer styling and unusually generous onboard volume, a formula that allowed it to offer many of the priorities associated with larger expedition yachts in a 25.89-metre package.
A 30-yacht production run reaches its conclusion
Thirty completed yachts is a substantial run for a model in this part of the market, where individual owner requirements and comparatively low production volumes normally make repetition more difficult than in mainstream leisure boating. For Numarine, the number also leaves a sizeable 26XP fleet already in service, turning the design from a single product into one of the recognisable foundations of the builder's modern explorer range.
Numarine's announcement frames the final handover as both an ending and a transition rather than the withdrawal of the compact explorer concept itself. The company thanked the teams and partners involved in the series, described the 26XP as a worldwide success and said the final yacht is now cruising with her owner, whose identity and the yacht's individual name were not disclosed in the announcement.
Compact dimensions with explorer priorities
The current 26XP specification lists an overall length of 25.89 metres, a beam of 6.60 metres and an international gross tonnage below 150 GT. Can Yalman is responsible for the exterior design, while naval architecture is by Umberto Tagliavini, and the model's vertical bow, angular glazing and high-volume profile have become familiar visual signatures within Numarine's wider XP series.
Accommodation can be arranged for eight or ten guests in four or five cabins, with quarters for four crew. Numarine's published displacement specification lists twin MAN D2676 engines rated at 560 bhp each, a maximum speed of 13.5 knots, a 12-knot cruising speed and an economic speed of eight knots, with a maximum range of 2,200 nautical miles at that economical speed.
Why the 26XP mattered to Numarine
Numarine describes the 26XP as one of its most successful and sought-after models, and the final production count gives that claim a clear numerical context. Its importance was not simply that it sat at the smaller end of the explorer market, but that it combined an owner-friendly footprint with the accommodation, outdoor space and cruising capability needed to make extended time aboard realistic.
The builder's current material continues to emphasise the 26XP's balance of expedition capability, comfort and efficiency, while also allowing owners to personalise layouts and materials. That makes the 30th delivery a useful dividing line: the outgoing model leaves behind a mature fleet and a proven design philosophy, while Numarine can move the same broad brief forward without having to re-establish the concept from scratch.
The 27XP takes over
Numarine explicitly identifies the 27XP as the next evolution of the 26XP. The successor grows to 26.97 metres overall with a 6.90-metre beam and 150 GT of internal volume, while retaining accommodation for eight or ten guests plus four crew and a published maximum range of 2,200 nautical miles at eight knots.
The change is therefore evolutionary rather than a departure from the compact explorer formula that supported the 26XP's 30-yacht run. Numarine says the 27XP brings expanded volume, larger outdoor living areas and enhanced functionality, so the final 26XP delivery closes a successful production chapter while transferring its role within the range to a model intended to carry the same explorer DNA into the next generation.
