Ocean Alexander’s new 31.58-metre 30P is making its world debut during Fort Lauderdale 2026 as the entry model in the completed Puro superyacht family.
Ocean Alexander’s 30P enters the public spotlight at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which runs from 28 October to 1 November 2026. The builder announced in March that the new 30P and larger 40P would make their world debuts at this edition of the show. The arrival completes a three-model Puro range around the existing 35P.
Unlike the Revolution and Legend series, Puro was conceived to speak to an international owner without relying on a design language identified with one particular market. That is Ocean Alexander’s own positioning, rather than an independently established performance claim. A visit at Fort Lauderdale can now test how convincingly this approach has been realised in the actual spaces and finishes.
The shipyard publishes an overall length of 31.58 metres, beam of 7.3 metres and approximate draft between 1.82 and 1.83 metres. Gross tonnage is listed at 225 GT, placing the 30P in a segment where the relationship between volume, operational complexity and ease of berthing can matter as much as length. Its relatively broad beam supports the intended sense of spaciousness.
Displacement is given as approximately 130,600 kilograms, an important consideration for propulsion, handling and service arrangements. The stated dimensions should be checked against the final vessel documentation before committing to a berth or passage. As always, changes in equipment, water and fuel loading can affect actual draft and operational margins.
Italian designer Giorgio M. Cassetta is responsible for the project’s design, with naval architecture attributed to Andrea Agrusta of NavalHEAD. Ocean Alexander describes sculpted exterior surfaces and integrated living areas intended to give the vessel a coherent identity. The 30P is therefore not simply a shorter version of the 40P, even though the projects share a family philosophy.
Good design has to serve people on board as well as appear compelling from a tender. On a yacht of this size, visitors should assess the visibility from helm positions, routes used by working crew and the relationship between indoor seating and exterior decks. Those practical tests often reveal more about a new model than the most dramatic publicity photograph.
Twin MAN engines rated at 2,000 horsepower each form the standard propulsion arrangement stated by Ocean Alexander. The technical specification lists a fuel capacity of 14,100 litres, freshwater storage of 2,000 litres and two Kohler generators rated at 55 kilowatts. These figures illustrate a yacht designed for professionally supported, substantial cruising rather than a purely day-use programme.
Fuel capacity is not the same as guaranteed range. Consumption depends on speed, loading, machinery condition, weather and the auxiliary electrical demand. Owners considering an extended itinerary should obtain a detailed performance curve, confirm generator burn and agree conservative fuel reserves with the captain before calculating passage legs.
The 30P’s arrival gives the 35P and 40P a smaller companion, broadening the choices within the Puro styling and engineering concept. For a buyer, the practical decision could rest on required crew, intended marinas and the number of guests expected for an extended stay. Greater size is not automatically preferable if a yacht must regularly enter confined harbours.
Ocean Alexander’s decision to unveil two models at the same show also invites a useful direct comparison. A prospective owner can examine the 30P’s room proportions and circulation against the 40P’s more expansive spaces without relying exclusively on scale models or renderings. The different displacement and fuel figures will frame a separate technical conversation.
Visitors should request a final specification, build-stage documentation, detailed general arrangements and information on equipment service access. Warranty terms, factory support in the intended cruising region and delivery scheduling are central commercial questions. An independent surveyor can also help determine which proposed options have long-term operational consequences.
The 30P’s most important development this week is the shift from a future model announcement to a publicly presented superyacht. Its 31.58-metre length, international design brief and substantial machinery package provide a clear starting point. Sea-trial data and close inspection must complete the picture before a buyer treats any published promise as an operational result.
