Project Y729 is Oceanco’s 80m, 2,600 GT first Simply Custom yacht, with a confirmed outfitting programme and planned 2027 delivery.
Oceanco’s Project Y729 remains an 80-metre new-build intended for delivery in 2027, according to the shipyard’s detailed project record. It is the first example of the Simply Custom programme and combines a 2,600 GT hull with a specifically commissioned exterior and interior, rather than being a conventional repeat-series yacht.
Oceanco announced on 12 December 2025 that Y729 was being moved from Zwijndrecht to Alblasserdam for final fabrication and outfitting. Its steel hull and aluminium superstructure had already been assembled and pre-outfitted at the construction facility before that movement.
The report identifies launch, trials and delivery as later stages, with 2027 as the intended completion year. It does not establish that any of those stages has happened in the meantime or support an invented September 2026 handover headline.
The builder says Simply Custom uses an established technical backbone while retaining the owner’s freedom to commission a personal yacht. The platform is offered around 80 metres and 2,500 to 2,700 GT, making Y729 a full-size first application rather than a scaled concept.
Oceanco argues that early availability of this framework helped the project move rapidly through its preliminary stages. That is the builder’s description of the method; it does not reduce the need for full testing and acceptance of the finished vessel.
Espen Øino International is credited with the exterior design, Zuretti Design with the interior and Arrow Monaco with technical representation. Oceanco’s project announcement lists accommodation for up to 14 guests and a crew of up to 28.
The owners, who previously chartered yachts, commissioned the vessel for family time on board. The brief informs the interior programme, but further room-by-room details should not be invented where the official press release does not specify them.
Fabrication and pre-outfitting are not the same as sea trials, and a scheduled delivery year is not confirmation of physical owner acceptance. Following the project through those stages requires separate dated notices from the yard or authorised representatives.
