ONE°15 Marina Langkawi Planned with More Than 90 Berths

SUTL Enterprise and Resorts World Langkawi are planning a new ONE°15 Marina at Langkawi, adding another large-yacht facility to the cruising network between Singapore and Phuket. The development is planned with more than 90 berths and capacity for yachts up to 140 feet, equivalent to roughly 43 metres.

The partners expect the marina to receive its first yachts in the second half of 2027. If delivered to that timetable, the project would broaden the infrastructure available to larger yachts cruising the Andaman Sea and could strengthen Langkawi's role as a stop between established Southeast Asian yachting centres.

More than 90 berths are planned

The published plan centres on a marina with over 90 berths rather than a small boutique facility. Capacity for yachts up to around 43 metres is particularly relevant because berth length, depth, shore power and manoeuvring space can restrict where larger yachts can practically base or stop during a regional itinerary.

The announcement does not yet provide every technical detail that captains and managers will eventually need, so draft, power provision and service specifications will remain important points to watch. Those operational details often determine whether a marina can support larger yachts consistently rather than simply accommodate them by length.

Langkawi sits on an important regional route

Langkawi's location places it on the Andaman Sea between Singapore to the south and Phuket to the north. That geography gives the island potential value as both a destination and a logistical stop for yachts moving through Malaysia and Thailand.

More dependable large-yacht berthing can influence itinerary planning because owners and captains need confidence in fuel, provisioning, maintenance access, guest transfers and weather shelter. New marina infrastructure therefore has an effect beyond berth numbers when it improves the practical continuity of a cruising region.

First yacht arrivals are targeted for 2027

The second-half 2027 target provides a useful milestone against which construction and commissioning can be tracked. Marina projects can change in scope or timetable, so the most important next developments will be confirmed construction progress, detailed berth specifications and the opening schedule.
