Premier Marinas reports more than 37,000 included visitor nights worth an estimated £1.6m as its expanded South Coast network attracts cruising berth holders.

Premier Marinas says customers used more than 37,000 complimentary visitor nights across its UK network during the current berthing year. The operator estimates the value of these stays at over £1.6 million, using the average visitor-night rate at each site.

Between 1 October 2025 and 26 August 2026, the number of visitor nights was up 39 percent against the equivalent previous period. The company links greater use to a wider marina network along the South Coast and Isle of Wight.

Expansion creates more cruising choices

The portfolio expanded after Premier acquired Boatfolk in September 2025, bringing sites including Deacons, East Cowes, Haslar, Portland and Weymouth into the group. Dartmouth followed through the acquisition of the Dart Marina Group in April 2026.

Additional destinations mean a home berth can connect to a broader set of cruising stops. That benefit is operational as well as financial because a skipper can plan itineraries around a known network of facilities, subject to actual berth availability.

The benefit belongs to eligible annual contracts

Under Premier Advantage, eligible annual berth holders can use up to 42 complimentary visitor nights during their contract term. The package also describes day visits and other marina benefits, although terms, restrictions and reservations remain applicable.

The £1.6 million figure is Premier's estimated equivalent value, not a cash payment to boat owners. It also should not be interpreted as evidence that every size and type of vessel can visit every location without notice.

Large-yacht owners should check berth limits

Premier advises vessels over 24 metres to telephone ahead for visitor-berth information and pricing. Superyacht captains need to check length, beam, draft, navigation constraints and shore services rather than assume the standard leisure-boat package applies unchanged.

The announcement illustrates how marina consolidation can create a linked cruising product, not just a larger portfolio of real estate. Owners evaluating a long-term berth should compare the practical range of accessible destinations with the conditions on their particular contract.

How to use the network without assuming a guaranteed berth

Complimentary visits are a customer benefit subject to the annual-contract terms, capacity and advance arrangements at the destination. A free-night allowance is not the same as a guaranteed berth on a particular date, nor does it necessarily cover every service or vessel dimension. Planning remains important during busy weekends and events when suitable spaces may already be allocated.

Superyacht operators should be particularly careful about applying a leisure-berthing headline to a vessel over 24 metres. Premier advises customers in that size category to contact the relevant marina directly about capacity and rates. Captains should confirm maximum length, beam and draft, available shore power, tidal access and the terms for visitors before adding a port to an itinerary. The network statistics are useful evidence of customer activity, but do not substitute for vessel-specific confirmation.
