Raymarine to Showcase Pathfinder Radar and ECDIS at Monaco 2026

Raymarine Commercial will use the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 to present its Pathfinder navigation systems for the superyacht and commercial-vessel market. The company says its Monaco display will include its IMO-approved solid-state Pathfinder radar and type-approved Pathfinder ECDIS, alongside FLIR thermal-imaging systems.

The presentation puts bridge-navigation hardware at the centre of Raymarine’s Monaco presence rather than treating electronics as a secondary equipment category. For large yachts operating internationally, radar and ECDIS are core safety and passage-planning systems, so type approval and integration with wider bridge architecture are important considerations for both new builds and refits.

Pathfinder radar moves solid-state technology onto the superyacht bridge

Raymarine says Pathfinder is an IMO-approved solid-state radar platform. Solid-state radar technology is increasingly attractive on large yachts because it removes the magnetron used in traditional pulse radar while supporting rapid start-up, lower maintenance requirements and modern signal-processing capabilities.

For captains and technical teams, the practical question is not simply radar range but how consistently the system identifies targets, coastlines and weather in changing sea states. Raymarine is positioning Pathfinder for professional bridge installations where equipment must meet regulatory requirements while also integrating with the wider navigation suite.

Type-approved ECDIS targets compliant digital navigation

The Monaco display will also include Raymarine Commercial’s type-approved Pathfinder ECDIS. ECDIS is the electronic chart display and information system used to combine approved electronic navigational charts with vessel position, route planning and other bridge data.

On superyachts subject to commercial or flag-state requirements, bridge-equipment selection has to be considered in the context of class, flag and intended operation. A type-approved ECDIS gives yards, owners’ representatives and bridge integrators another certified option when specifying a new navigation package or planning a major bridge refit.

FLIR thermal imaging joins the Monaco display

Raymarine will also show a selection of FLIR maritime thermal cameras. Thermal imaging can support night navigation, man-overboard searches, security monitoring and improved situational awareness in low-light conditions, making it relevant to both bridge operations and wider yacht-security systems.

The combination of radar, ECDIS and thermal imaging reflects the continuing move toward more integrated bridge environments. Rather than operating as isolated instruments, modern yacht-navigation systems increasingly share information across displays, sensors and control networks so bridge teams can build a clearer operational picture from multiple sources.

Raymarine joins the Monaco technology exhibitors

The Monaco Yacht Show runs from 23 to 26 September 2026 in Port Hercule. Raymarine Commercial’s presence adds another navigation specialist to a show where bridge electronics, connectivity, automation, safety and cybersecurity are becoming an increasingly visible part of the equipment sector.
