REINTJES has strengthened its management team with new divisional leaders for Sales and Service and for Finance and Controlling at its Hameln operation.
German marine gearbox manufacturer REINTJES has filled two senior divisional positions as it develops its sales, service and finance organisation. André Powilleit has taken responsibility for Sales and Service, while Christian König becomes head of Finance and Controlling as the company continues supporting marine propulsion customers worldwide.
André Powilleit joins REINTJES as the new head of Sales and Service, filling a position that had been vacant. The appointment puts commercial development and lifecycle support under a leader with previous experience across maritime technology, shipbuilding and navigation-system businesses.
REINTJES says Powilleit most recently worked in Kiel for Anschütz and has also held roles with Plath and Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft. That background spans equipment, systems and shipyard environments, giving the gearbox manufacturer experience that extends beyond a single part of the marine supply chain.
Christian König has been appointed divisional manager for Finance and Controlling, succeeding Andreas Mühle as the latter reaches retirement. REINTJES said Mühle would support the transition before leaving, allowing knowledge accumulated during six years as commercial director to be handed over.
Leadership continuity matters for specialist manufacturers because long product lifecycles connect current sales decisions with service obligations many years into the future. Marine transmissions can remain in operation for decades, so financial planning, spare-parts strategy and service capability all influence customer confidence.
REINTJES develops gearboxes for multiple vessel types and specifically includes yachts within its marine propulsion portfolio. Its range covers conventional reduction gearboxes as well as hybrid-ready configurations, lightweight units and systems designed to connect diesel and electric propulsion components.
For yacht builders, transmission selection affects more than the transfer of engine power to the propeller shaft. Weight, noise, vibration, machinery-space packaging, monitoring, clutch behaviour and future hybridisation can all influence how a gearbox fits into the wider propulsion concept.
Combining sales and service leadership also reflects a wider marine-industry shift toward lifecycle support as a central part of equipment procurement. Owners and yards increasingly evaluate not only initial specifications but also global technical assistance, overhaul capability, parts availability and upgrade pathways.
REINTJES operates from its manufacturing base in Hameln and supports an international installed base through service channels and product specialists. Powilleit’s appointment therefore places responsibility for new commercial opportunities alongside the long-term support requirements that follow each gearbox after delivery.
