Sanlorenzo 58Steel: Perla Lunar Delivered, Second Hull in Build

Sanlorenzo's 58Steel record identifies the first unit, Perla Lunar, as delivered while a second hull remains under construction. The distinction is important in the 55–60 metre segment, where one completed vessel does not turn every sistership into a launched or handed-over yacht.

One delivered yacht, another in progress

Sanlorenzo announced the 58Steel as an evolution of its 57Steel range, with a longer hull and significantly revised machinery arrangement. Its official programme material separates Perla Lunar's completed delivery from the next yacht still in the build sequence.

An existing model photograph illustrates the design family but cannot be treated as a current construction photograph of the second hull. The builder does not use the cited release to confirm a new delivery of that second yacht in late September 2026.

Diesel-electric architecture changes space

The builder describes a diesel-electric system that moves the engine-room layout away from a conventional arrangement and frees more than 40 square metres for guest areas. The claimed reduction in emissions is 10 percent, and the performance comparison should be read as Sanlorenzo's own published figure.

The configuration is said to permit up to two hours of silent cruising and as much as eight hours of hotel operation without local emissions from running generators. Actual duration depends on operating loads, battery conditions and how the captain uses the power-management system.

Greater beam and guest volumes

With a 10.8-metre beam, the 58Steel broadens the interior and exterior guest spaces without becoming a 64-metre yacht in length. The yard identifies two full-beam VIP cabins on the lower deck and an additional premium guest arrangement on the main deck.

The upper deck can be arranged around a private owner area incorporating a pool, office and cinema-style lounge. Zuccon International Project designed the exterior, while the yard's Style Department developed the interiors described in the official materials.

A beach area on three sides

The beach club is designed to open on three sides and includes facilities such as a hammam, gym and beauty area. This architectural approach shows how the changed machinery position can alter guest circulation as well as the specification of the propulsion system.

For buyers and market observers, the useful status is not a fresh launch claim but the separation of the delivered first unit and the in-build second hull. Further construction or handover milestones require a newer, yacht-specific confirmation from Sanlorenzo.
