Saudi Tourism Authority Takes Red Sea Yachting Push to Monaco

Saudi Tourism Authority is using the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 to make a destination case for the Red Sea, shifting the conversation from individual marina projects toward the wider cruising experience. The authority is presenting the Saudi coastline, resorts, marine activities and support services to yacht owners, charterers, operators and industry companies gathered in Monaco.

The campaign highlights more than 1,800 kilometres of Red Sea coastline and points to Jeddah and AMAALA among the destinations being developed for international visitors. Saudi Tourism Authority is also stressing year-round warm water, beaches, coral reefs and resort infrastructure as it seeks to turn new marine investment into actual yacht itineraries.

The pitch is moving from infrastructure to cruising demand

Saudi Arabia has spent several years building the regulatory, marina and hospitality components required to attract larger yachts. The Monaco presentation is important because it focuses on how those assets are packaged for owners and charter guests, rather than announcing another isolated berth or construction project.

The Saudi Press Agency says the showcase includes the AMAALA area and its large collection of natural islands, alongside the broader Red Sea tourism offer. For captains and charter planners, the practical questions will remain clearance, berthing, fuel, provisioning, service support and the consistency of guest experiences between destinations.

A multi-operator pavilion presents the developing ecosystem

The Saudi pavilion brings together public bodies and commercial operators including the Saudi Red Sea Authority, Red Sea Global, AMAALA, Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina, Sea Pros Yachts and BWA Yachting. That mix gives visitors a single place to discuss regulation, destination development, marina access and operational support rather than treating each part of the cruising chain separately.

This matters in an emerging superyacht region because attractive coastlines alone are not enough to create repeat traffic. Owners and captains need confidence that the complete journey can be supported, from entry formalities and guest transfers to technical assistance and onward itinerary planning.

Jeddah is preparing a dedicated yacht show for 2027

Saudi Arabia is also preparing to host the Red Sea Yacht Show at Jeddah Yacht Club and Marina from 14 to 17 October 2027. The planned event is intended to bring together yacht owners, builders, brokers, designers and luxury brands, giving the country its own international platform for the marine tourism market.
