Sunreef 100 Eco Set for Monaco World Premiere With 770kWh Battery Bank

World premiere scheduled in Monaco

Sunreef Yachts is bringing the first Sunreef 100 Eco to Monaco for its world premiere during the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show. The builder lists the electric sailing catamaran among the yachts at its QH25 display from 23 to 26 September, alongside the 100 Sunreef Power.

The official Monaco Yacht Show programme also schedules a dedicated Sunreef 100 Eco press event for 23 September from 14:00 to 15:00. That timing makes Monaco the first major public presentation of the yacht following its launch and final outfitting programme in Gdańsk.

Twin 360kW motors and a 770kWh battery bank

Sunreef says the 100 Eco uses twin 360kW electric engines supported by a 770kWh battery bank. The propulsion package is combined with the yard’s proprietary solar system, so electrical generation is treated as part of the yacht’s overall energy architecture rather than as an auxiliary add-on.

Solar cells are integrated across the hulls, superstructure and bimini to produce energy without relying on conventional rigid panel arrays mounted as separate structures. The sailing rig adds another low-energy mode of propulsion, giving the yacht several ways to reduce generator and engine use during cruising and at anchor.

Energy system sits alongside long-stay cruising features

The yacht was commissioned by a returning Sunreef superyacht owner, according to the builder. Sunreef has paired the electrical package with an Ocean Lounge, a large garage, a dive locker and dedicated toy storage, reflecting an intended role as a yacht for extended voyages rather than a technology demonstrator alone.

That combination is significant because battery capacity, hotel load and onboard lifestyle are closely connected on large electric yachts. A larger inventory of tenders, dive equipment, refrigeration, air conditioning and hotel services all compete for stored energy, so the practical value of the system depends on how generation, propulsion and domestic loads are managed together.

Monaco puts the electric platform in front of buyers

Sunreef’s Monaco appearance moves the 100 Eco from launch-stage announcements into a public sales and technical environment. Prospective owners and project teams will be able to compare the yacht’s electric propulsion and integrated solar approach directly with other lower-emission systems being presented around Port Hercule.

The builder has increasingly used its Eco range to develop electric propulsion, battery storage and solar integration at larger scales. The 100 Eco gives that strategy a new flagship-level reference point, with Monaco providing the first public opportunity to inspect how the technologies have been packaged into a 100-foot sailing catamaran.
