Videoworks and COTON to Demonstrate Immersive Yacht Audio at Monaco 2026

Videoworks and COTON/INVISI will demonstrate immersive audio at Monaco 2026, showing how adaptive sound could become part of luxury yacht interior design.

Videoworks and Japanese audio specialists COTON/INVISI will present an immersive audio concept at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, exploring how sound can become an integrated part of luxury yacht interior design rather than simply an entertainment system added after the spaces are complete.

The official Monaco Yacht Show conference programme lists the presentation for 25 September at Darse Sud. The session is titled “Immersive Audio Experience by COTON (Japan)” and will examine how what the presenters call “audio decoration” can complement the visual and material design of a luxury interior.

Sound moves beyond conventional AV

Traditional yacht audio systems are often judged by speaker quality, coverage and playback performance. The Monaco presentation points toward a broader approach in which soundscapes are treated as part of the atmosphere of a space, potentially changing according to mood, activity or the character of individual rooms.

That approach fits a wider trend in superyacht technology toward integrated environments. Lighting, climate, audiovisual systems and digital controls are increasingly designed together, making the acoustic character of a room another element that can be adjusted as part of the onboard experience.

COTON brings adaptive sound technology

COTON develops sound systems and software intended to create responsive acoustic environments rather than fixed playlists or conventional background music. Its work includes dynamically generated soundscapes that can change according to conditions and user experience, making the Monaco demonstration particularly relevant to custom yacht interiors.

Videoworks already works across audiovisual, IT, cybersecurity and integrated control systems for superyachts. Bringing an adaptive sound platform into that environment could allow audio to become part of a wider automation architecture instead of operating as a separate entertainment layer.

Monaco will test the idea in front of designers and owners

The presentation is scheduled for 10:15 on 25 September at stand DS87, with COTON/INVISI CEO Toru Hama and Stefano Fagnani taking part. The format should give designers, owners and technical teams a first-hand demonstration of how the system changes the perception of an interior space.

For future yacht projects, the practical value will depend on how easily adaptive audio can be engineered, controlled and maintained alongside the rest of the vessel’s technology. The Monaco session provides a useful opportunity to judge whether immersive sound is likely to become a genuine interior-design tool or remain a specialist feature.
