YACHTWAVE has launched YachtLINK, an NMEA 2000 gateway that automatically sends engine hours, tank levels, position and other vessel data to its management platform.

YACHTWAVE is launching YachtLINK at IBEX 2026, introducing a compact NMEA 2000 gateway that automatically moves vessel data from the onboard network into the company’s cloud-based yacht-management platform.

Engine hours and tank levels without manual entry

YachtLINK connects to a spare tee on an existing NMEA 2000 backbone and reads information already being broadcast by engines, tanks, GPS units and other connected instruments. The gateway then sends that data to a YACHTWAVE account over the boat or marina Wi-Fi network.

The company is positioning the product around a practical management problem: service schedules, tank records and operating histories are only useful when crews keep them current. Automatic readings reduce dependence on someone manually copying values from a gauge into an app or spreadsheet.

NMEA 2000 certification supports integration

The YLK-1-WIFI gateway has received NMEA 2000 certification. It is bus-powered from the vessel network, uses a standard Micro-C connection and has a Load Equivalency Number of 2.

YACHTWAVE says installation can be completed without a separate power supply or display. The gateway connects to local Wi-Fi for cloud access and continues buffering data when that connection is unavailable, uploading the backlog when connectivity returns.

Cloud data feeds maintenance workflows

Once connected, engine-hour data can feed service schedules directly inside YACHTWAVE, while tank levels, position and other available NMEA 2000 information become part of the vessel’s digital record.

For management companies, captains and multi-yacht operations, the product extends the use of the vessel’s existing sensor network into maintenance and operational reporting rather than requiring a separate telemetry installation.
