The 122-metre Lürssen superyacht Kismet has returned to central London, mooring near Tower Bridge for a third consecutive autumn visit.

Kismet returns to the Thames

The 122-metre Lürssen superyacht Kismet has returned to central London, taking up a berth near Tower Bridge for a third consecutive autumn. AIS data reported by YachtBuyer shows the yacht departed Gibraltar on 28 September before travelling north through the English Channel and into the Thames.

The visit follows similar London appearances in 2024 and 2025, making the capital an increasingly familiar seasonal stop for one of the world’s most recognisable large yachts. Kismet’s size and distinctive silver jaguar figurehead make the yacht particularly conspicuous against the historic riverside setting.

London visit follows a busy 2026 cruising year

Kismet has remained highly visible since her 2024 delivery, with 2026 appearances including Gibraltar and Monaco before the latest UK call. The yacht’s movements demonstrate how even vessels above 120 metres can incorporate major city destinations into wider Mediterranean and Atlantic cruising programmes.

No official reason has been announced for the latest London visit, although it coincides with a period of major sporting events in the city. The yacht’s association with the Khan family and the Jacksonville Jaguars has attracted public attention, but the confirmed fact is the yacht’s third successive October presence on the Thames.

Lürssen’s 122-metre platform remains technically significant

Kismet was delivered by Lürssen in 2024 under the project name Jag and has an internal volume of about 4,918 GT. A hybrid diesel-electric arrangement supports selected low-speed electric operation, while published figures indicate an 18-knot top speed and a range of around 6,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

For the wider superyacht sector, a recurring London visit also demonstrates the operational reach of very large yachts beyond conventional Mediterranean and Caribbean hubs. Berthing, pilotage, tidal planning and shoreside logistics become particularly important when a yacht of Kismet’s scale enters a constrained urban waterway.
