Riva has given the 96’ Argo Super its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, bringing the latest evolution of the Italian builder’s flybridge line into public view. The 29-metre model develops the established 90’ Argo platform with revised spaces, larger areas of glazing and a stronger emphasis on the connection between the interior and the sea.

The premiere forms part of Riva’s autumn show programme, with the new model presented in Cannes alongside the 56’ Rivale Super. For Superyacht Guide readers, the 96’ Argo Super is the more significant of the two because it sits firmly above the 24-metre threshold and enters a crowded sector where owners increasingly expect the volume and amenities of a larger yacht without moving into a much heavier displacement platform.

An evolution of the 90’ Argo

Riva describes the 96’ Argo Super as an evolution rather than a clean-sheet replacement. The exterior and interior development continues the collaboration with Officina Italiana Design, while the underlying concept retains the low, clean profile and flybridge arrangement that have become central to the Argo family.

The key changes focus on liveability and light. Riva says the layout has been reworked to improve movement through the yacht, glazing has been increased, and the relationship between the saloon, exterior decks and water has been strengthened so that the yacht feels more open than its predecessor.

More usable space around the water

The stern is a major part of the redesign because this is where buyers in the 25-to-35-metre market now expect the greatest improvement. The 96’ Argo Super uses a more open aft arrangement to create a closer visual and physical connection with the sea, while the broader glazing strategy carries that sense of openness into the interior.

That approach reflects a wider trend across current production superyachts. Owners are placing greater value on beach areas, terraces, open views and flexible exterior living rather than simply adding enclosed interior volume, and Riva’s update appears aimed directly at that change in buyer preference.

World premiere follows July launch

The first 96’ Argo Super was launched at Riva’s La Spezia facility in July 2026, where the yard builds models in the larger end of its range. Cannes therefore marks the yacht’s first major public presentation rather than its first appearance in the water, giving clients and brokers their first opportunity to inspect the finished production model in a boat-show setting.

The launch and premiere also arrive during a particularly active period for Ferretti Group. Cannes 2026 has been used to present several new models across the group’s brands, while the company has simultaneously introduced an additional one-year Quality Promise programme for eligible yachts up to 45 metres.

What the 96’ Argo Super means for Riva

At around 29 metres, the 96’ Argo Super occupies an important position between Riva’s smaller flybridge yachts and its much larger Superyachts Division projects. That makes it relevant to owners who want recognizable Riva styling and production-series predictability while retaining a yacht size that can still access a broad range of Mediterranean marinas and cruising grounds.

The Cannes debut should also give the market a clearer view of how the revised arrangement works in practice. The significance is less about a headline increase in length and more about whether Riva has successfully converted those additional metres into better guest circulation, stronger outdoor living and a more contemporary relationship with the water.
